I think it will be pretty close most of the way. We might pull away in the 4th as their defense tires.

UF's defense outscored their offense 2-0 last week, and FSU's defense is nowhere near the caliber of Bama's.

As much as I'd like to see UF win just for the outrage it would cause on this board when the SEC gets left out, Bama will score 17-21 points and win by 17-21.

Punting has been excellent. Our kicker can't kick an exta point, but he is very good at kicking it through the end zone on kickoffs. That's about it.

But this is CFB as I said and strange bounces happen sometimes. Hell, Bama has had 2 absolutely crazy TD's go against them this year (Miss and Auburn). Why can't UF get one, get a pick six, a fg, and win 17-13?

I don't see UF scoring anything over 20

Gator defense is good enough that they'll cause a lot of problems Saturday. Remember, Bama's OL has been struggling with pass protection off/on all season. That's not to say that Henry won't still get his yards.

Now, the UF Offense? Bama D will eat them alive. I expect UF's D and ST will score more points than their O.

I don't see UF's offense scoring a single TD. They may get in FG range a couple of times, but chances are their kicker would miss.

I think it will be an ugly 14-3 type of game.

You're going to get thrashed by Alabama. You played no one with a great offense this year and you barely beat shite teams.

Oh yeah Toledo I got it.

what's with you Arky fans, they've been coming after UF strong and I can't understand it, we're not rivals, we don't play y'all until next year for the first time in 7 years so I don't get it unless it's jealousy, cause you know UF will win 10 more SEC titles before Arky even sniffs the dome again.....2006 was a long time ago.

I just want to know what we should say our defense is if not good.

Average? I don't think that's right.
Great? Nah, if the offense was a juggernaut, maybe it could have been.
Bad? Anyone that says that is a fool.

Good seems to be accurate even for a homer fan.

The defense is definitely solid to say the least. LSU lit them up, but other than that every other team had a tough time against that defense. Bama may cruise to a win, but it will be more to do with Bama getting good field position from turnovers and punt returns.

Arky hates that the SEC is divided into East and West now that the West is stronger.

They should consider a move to the Big 12 really.

They have a lot of team speed on both sides of the ball

This is one of the biggest fraudulent statements in college football. They have excellent coaching. McElwain is already turning that program around in the right direction. But it's all about coaching up the 3 star commits a school gets. It's not nearly as difficult to coach up the 4 and 5 stars, but it's still an accomplishment. You can't tell me that all of the players on UF's defense were 5 stars out of high school. But the coaching staff gets them well-prepared and they take the best angles to the ball carrier. If they even had an average QB, they would probably give Alabama a major scare.

I think if UF's defense is susceptible to anything it's a power running gme. We better not try that cute stuff like the jet sweeps. That's playing right into the Gators' strong suit - team speed.

Fortunately for Bama, as much as this OL has not measured up to the better OLs in recent past, if they can get UF's front 7 in a phone booth and maul them we can move the ball. Hat on hat drive blocking is one thing they can do. If UF forces us into a lot of 3rd & longs, the game will stay uncomfortably close.

Bama 31-3

You're way off. Of course all the D's players weren't five starts (no team's is), but you're vastly underrating the talent on that side of the ball.

CeCe Jefferson 5 star
Jon Bullard 5 star
VHIII 5 star
Jalen Tabor 5 star
Alex McCalister 4 star
Antonio Morrison 4 star
Keanu Neal 4 star
Brian Poole 4 star
Marcus Maye 4 star
Quincy Wilson 4 star
Nick Washington 4 star
Taven Bryan 4 star
Khairi Clark 4 star
Duke Dawson 4 star

There are also a few of three stars with Jarrad Davis being one of them. Despite his ranking he is one of the best players on an immensely talented D.

Okay, I get that. But what I said was correct. Most were not 5 star athletes. So that means you have an outstanding defensive coaching staff/philosophy, which had to carry over from Muschamp. As much as he was a complete disaster as a game time coach, he recruited defense like Michaelangelo painted the Sisteen Chapel. He fine tuned that defense and McElwain's DC has put those players in excellent positions to succeed. Which is still baffling to me that you hated Boom so much. He didn't leave the cupboard bare over there. He was like a John Cooper at OSU. Shitty game time coach, but a damn good recruiter. Now at the Plains, they want him gone after one season? Don't be the Cleveland Browns of the South. They get rid of a coach for looking at someone the wrong way.

Very few defenses in the country play with "mostly 5 stars". I'm not doing the research on it, but it might be two programs in the country that have 6 five stars or more on their starting D.

I certainly agree that Muschamp did a great job assembling talent, but he was terrible at managing an entire program. He left a lot of talent, sure. But he left gaping voids in RB, LB, OL and QB depth.

I actually don't dislike Boom. I don't particularly like him either but I don't dislike him. I recognize the guy tried his hardest at UF and it just wasn't good enough.

They do have a good defense. They held Ole Miss to 10 points. No one else has come close.
