I think Foley would get killed if he hired another DC to be HC.

I think we've had enough of that experiment.

And yes, we have fringe elements out there.

I don't want the humpback. There is something about him that rubs me the wrong way. IMO this would never happen, and not because Dan would turn us down, he just isn't the first choice.

I have to agree with this.

But I also think y'all should keep Boom for at least one more year. They guy has an 11-1 record and a Sugar bowl appearance on his resume

Last year was an anomaly with the injuries.

Yes, you lost a tight game to LSU and yes, the Bama game got out of control late.

But it looks to me like UF is playing hard.

If you guys go 8-3 or 7-4 with one of the wins being vs UGA or FSU, I'd be surprised to see Boom get shite canned

Hell, if you win out except for UGA and FSU, that SHOULD save his job for one more year.

Aren't you a physician? That's pretty insensitive.

If I'm a Florida fan there is no way I want a coach who hasn't been a head coach before. Boom had to learn on the job and it has cost him.

Re the "reach all their goals where they are " comment, think big picture, i.e. long term. The Miss. teams will always trail the "elite" teams over the long haul simply because of the huge financial gap that exists now & will continue to exist.Primarily because of the size of their stadiums, both recently renovated & capacity increased, in comparision to those sitting 90-100K. That disparity effects facilities, coaches's salaries, recruiting budgets, etc. No doubt they can pay a competitive HC salary, but staff salaries is one reason Bert left Wisconsin. But: what exactly does Mrs. Mullen "fear" about Gainsville?

I can't believe people actually believe a coach would CHOOSE to stay at MISS ST if a school like FLORIDA offered them the head coaching job :smh:

Where did you get that figure?

I don't think Engie has ever put out an exact figure on the mysterious "Leo fund"

Oh, and "Leo Fund"

Probably in fear from watching Meyer go into a physical and mental meltdown despite winning a NC, and doesn't want the same pressure for her family??

And FL fans are just scary.

Just fishing around a little, DD.

Since engie is a trustee, or sits in on budget and forecasting meetings, I'm sure he'll be in here to tell us the exact figure and maybe provide a little proof.

I wasn't sure if he was humpback or just didn't have a neck -- thanks for clearing that up!

It's not that we really want Mullen. We just want anyone but Muscramp. I'd settle for a stuffed JoePa propped up in the coaches box at this point.
