I do not believe in better. I believe in deserved. Treon and Hardin DO NOT deserve to play at UF. They have shown on the field that they are not ready to play at this level. They might be the best practice players in the world but the results when the lights come on are clear. Who cares if we don't have anyone better, you keep trying until you find someone else. Anything less says you accept failure.
Players bust their arse for playing time. There is nothing more deflating to a team than a guy that sucks arse but still plays. It is hard enough when you have 1 guy that is holding the team back but it is ridiculous when you have 2 guys that are beyond horrible and they both keep getting reps. You could see it wearing on UF players the last few weeks. The body language when Treon throws the ball 10 feet too high or in the dirt. The entire team and the crowd groans when Hardin goes in the game only to kick the ball into the back of one of our linemen. The last 5 weeks has been the biggest joke of UF football I have seen in my lifetime. All because of 2 players.
I could care less about win/loss record. If you're honest, we could very well have been 6-6 in the worst SECe that I've ever seen. Have we improved as a team, are you looking forward to the future? I feel worst about UF football today than I did at the beginning of the season. The most troubling thing for me is that I'm starting to think that McElwain is not the guy. I felt the same about Muschamp when he won 11 games. There is NO EXCUSE McElwain can give for continuing to play these 2 guys. NONE. Everything is always peachy with him as he's just glad to be there. Fukk that.
