Florida has great fan support, but LSU baseball is an anomaly. LSU went wild for baseball in the 90s because their football program was awful. Florida was dominating football then, and their baseball success has been mostly recently and not on the level of LSU. Kudos to LSU for their support, though.

I bet its thunderstorms there without even looking....you want someone to be hit by lightning while a game is going on?

I'm really not sure why lsu fans even bring that up. Florida cucked the hell out of them.

Fla. has a poor history of fan support, surprising because of the huge success of its baseball program.

huge success? are you serious? your definition of huge success is much different than mine.

you want the correct definition look at the histories of Miami and FSU in the state of Florida. Gainsville has a damn good team from time to time but I think the gators pinnacle is winning the SEC and actually booking rooms in Omaha (at least for the team and a handful of fans).

Could it be that major thunderstorms are projected for the game? This game was going to be rained out from the get go. Sorry if we here in Central Florida have better things to do than go back to our double wides and beat our wives for undercooking the gumbo.

Absolutely.
Most people--apart from students--aren't going to sit themselves or their kids in the middle of a thunderstorm.
Hope it clears for y'all tomorrow.

I've been to see my Tigers play UF at McKethan three times. Lifeless.

The Gator faithful just don't care. It's not like there is anything else to do in Gainesville.

Actually, it is. The part of Louisiana north of Lake Ponchartrain and east of the Mississippi River was once part of Spanish Florida. It wasn't part of Louisiana at the time of the Louisiana Purchase. That part of Louisiana is still known as the Florida Parishes and formed part of the Republic of West Florida.

You're about to play a huge game to go to Omaha and you're thinking about us. How sweet.

Since you posted it twice, does that make it 6 times you have been to McKethon to watch YOUR tigers?

You obviously missed the jorts last night coming out to talk crap when LSU was down 3-0...only to disappear with the quickness when the Tigers came back to win.
