nexcusable if UF gets bounced before Omaha.

obviously, you haven't been paying attention to UF when they make it to the finals. They've had good teams, but obviously, just not good enough.

i mean, we had bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth in game one again South Carolina with NO OUTS. Every out was made at the plate inexcusable.

This HAS to happen. The possum and the owl need a rubber match.

I don't see LSU making it this year. I also think that Florida vs Southern Miss in the Super could be a good matchup.

I don't care what stadium you're playing in on Earth. What the wind or the dimensions are like. If you can put together 12 singles and score 6 runs on a 1st Rounder, that type of simple, consistently successful production will beat anyone, anywhere.

If you're in the 9th inning, down by one at Ameritrade Park, with a runner at second base and no one out, you'd better know how to manufacture runs. Swinging away will not win the ball game.

I'm afraid Mainieri still doesn't know how to manufacture runs.

"CPM still does not know how to manufacture runs"? His LSU team went 15-2 in May, those two losses coming to the #1 team in the country, beat Moo St. who was ranked 3rd, in that same period. He obviously did something right. Was not his fault, or Andy's for that matter that, with runners on 1st & 3rd, no outs, Duplesiss struck out on a ball 4'out of the strike zone & then Fraley hit into a perfect double play ball. Good pitching had something to do with that outcome as well.

What I said was:

"His LSU team went 15-2 in May" not at Ameritrade Park, they didn't.

"He obviously did something right", yes, won a lot of regular season games.

"Good pitching had something to do with that outcome as well." Good pitching got them to the 9th inning down 0-1. Not being able to manufacture runs left a runner stranded at 3rd after he had been in scoring position with no one out.

That shite won't fly in Omaha. LSU is averaging less than 3 runs per game in 5 games since the move from Rosenblatt, and this just seems to be a weakness of Paul's teams at LSU, they rely too much on power. This isn't the 90s anymore.

Mainieri 's GOT to figure out how to score with runners in scoring position and no one out - in Ameritrade Park.
