Michigan has the more experienced QB and a massive coaching advantage. Their defensive line will be good and Callaway's absence means they'll have a hard time taking advantage of a new secondary.

I think Michigan wins in the 23-13 range.

Harbaugh built Stanford from nothing, took a losing 49ers team to 3 NFCCGs in a row (won one) and beat the Brady Hoke softness out of Michigan in about 4 games.

College is a different game though. Lovie Smith has a Super Bowl loss and fielded one of the worst P5 teams in the country last year.

I wouldn't say the edge is that extreme, but yes Harbaugh is certainly more proven. That said, Mac has won the East despite two straight years of losing his starting QB. Having zero offensive line depth. Having few playmakers on offense.

No one would say anything had Grier not been doing roids. That monster beating on a top five Ole Miss showed an elite team. Harris sucked.

Add in over the last two year Florida has also been in the top ten in MOST injured programs.

So we really don't know what Mac can do, this year will show the story. Has enough QB's for losing the starter to not be a massive blow. Has depth on offense. Lacking some depth on defense but that is his fault for not recruiting enough bodies over on that side.

Laughable people attack his coaching. His work at CSU was spectacular, and he has done nothing but overcome a crap load of issues to get UF to Atlanta. Cut the man some slack. He's deserved benefit of the doubt, he has done very well thus far. Especially LSU fans. He went to your house and beat you with walk on linebackers.

Just let that sink in.

You can't cherry pick facts or quotes- Did you miss the part about what he did at Stanford? I can't stand the guy but if you don't think Harbaugh is going to return Michigan to powerhouse form then you haven't been paying attention.

Our OL and RBs are a big strength this year and makes me feel good about this game since everyone is healthy. I think we win but it'll be a close one. If del rio plays any significant minutes, we lose.

You might be okay if FL can get to 17 - 21 points.

Saying Harbaugh is significantly better than him is not a knock on McElwain. Harbaugh has proven in college and the NFL that he can turn shite around really quickly. Even though they lost a lot of starters from last year, I don't expect much dropoff because Harbaugh has proven that he can win with just about any talent level.

That Stanford team that won at USC in 2007 had the talent of a mid level FCS team.
