It's an SEC home game. Does ABC get the rights thru ESPN on this one.

It's also a OCC game. CBS never does OCC games. ESPN owns ABC.

The network cannot show a game Sept. 11 because of its U.S. Open tennis coverage,

does the US Open really outdraw the opening weeks of football. You would think Bama Penn St. would give it a run for its money.

For late games in Tuscaloosa, I usually stay at the Microtel Inn in Hoover. Easy access to I-459 and I-20/59, and it's nice.

Is there much to do out there or is it a typical suburban hotel by the hotel? I'm pretty open to staying in Birmingham, Hoover, and just sucking it up and getting a dump in T-Town. I just want to experience Bammer football and have a good time.

Hoover is just a suburb, and there's not much to do right there. You'll never get a hotel in Tuscaloosa, if you wait later than July to book. There's plenty of nice ones to choose from, but I never get them, because I don't travel that far to stay in a hotel. The hotel I usually get in Hoover is just a nice location, and it's easy to get to I-20/59 to Tuscaloosa.

If I were you I'd stay in Tuscaloosa then, that's where all the action will be on Friday night. Birmingham and Hoover obviously have bars and such, but the atmosphere will be completely different in Tuscaloosa.

Too bad both of them will at least have one loss by the time this game comes around

ABC is the parent company of ESPN, but they don't have an agreement to show SEC home games. They can show neutral site games like the Chik-fil-A kickoff and away games like UGA @ GT but I don't remember the last time they've shown an SEC home game.

None of this matters though because I just checked and ABC will be showing a Nascar race that night, LOL.

Thanks for the advice, that is what some of my Alabama friends told me. I will probably book a room in a Super 8 or whatever kind of dump, I don't plan on being in there long anyways.

I'm really looking forward to seeing Urban Meyer get his arse kicked again. With Lane gone, he takes back the reins as the biggest douche HC in the SEC.

Nice doubleheader. A win over Tennessee and a UF win would be great.

The last time the 8PM time slot didn't feature UF was 2003.

It's also a game that's played every year.

I don't see UT winning in Tiger Stadium. However, the poster will be upset when UF falls at Alabama.
