I like college baseball way better than women's basketball. It just isn't a good sport for them. Our game last night was a butt whipping. Apart from me not liking it because I am a homer, a 3.5 hour 1-0 game ending at 12:30 (1:30am Eastern) is just miserable imo.

So there is no change in ratings from a women's first round game and women's final four game.

That is pathetic that no "new" viewers come it at the end. This proves only hardcore sports fans watch women's basketball.

yup. tv wise. college baseball has made huge strides. the fact is; if one is a baseball fan the CWS is damn entertaining. many folk just ain't baseball fans.

I don't think it will take much honestly. I mean there is a reason why our old arena seats 12,000 (not bad for today's standard, high by yesteryears) and 18,000 now. Gamecock fans loves them some basketball... it's just been so long since we've had anything worthy of note on the court.

But as you were saying... it only took a few years to get Dawn Staley to make us the highest attended school in WBB that will likely continue for years to come. We sold out some games in Horn's 1st year that ended up being an NIT season. If we put anything that looks NCAA tournament-worthy in the next couple of years the CLA will be rocking.
