All LSU baby. A&M is three years away from a decent defense.

Again with this fricking myth that has been proven wrong time and time again. SEVERAL SEC teams rack in more money. If Chavis bolted to A&M it was not because LSU couldn’t pay him more. Maybe they should have, that is up for debate, but A&M having more money than most SEC team is a fricking lie.

A&M won't sniff playoffs

Especially playing in SECw and having Sumlin as HC

I see LSU as opposite, they can be great if they can field a better than avg offense

we are perfectly capable of fielding a better than avg. offense this season.

But Nothing in their offense has changed

you have zero clue. really, you do not know what you are talking about.

and they're left hoping Steele/O can match Chavis production.

it's not a mathematical formula. chavis' "production" will be matched or bested in some areas and not in other areas. Chavis defense got shredded in 4 games last year. I think LSU will be fine on D.

I want to say LSU since recent history shows they're an elite team. But it's almost starting to feel like the 90's for the bayou bengals.

Stop. Not even close.

I have nightmares reliving the Curley years.

Why not include Arkansas? Y'all just locked up a good dc. Arky's defense is legit. Bert is recruiting very well. Y'all played everybody tough this year and wasn't blown out by anyone.

So that is where Tennessee has been hiding all of those years!!

I think A&m has more money than "most" SEC teams, in literally every potential metric you could list.

their high powered offense, and they should make a strong push for the playoffs soon.

That offense is starting to be a bit tarnished. This year will decide if Sumlin can develop a QB or was Sumlin's a success of Manzeil (ie. Curley Hallman and Farve). Both passing and rushing yards and production are trending down.

Seriously, Sumlin reputation as the QB whisperer will be decided. Kenny Hill came out the game fast and then crashed. Now, he is reported gone and with that experience that comes with 8 starts. Allen comes in and is 3-2, both losses coming at home. Statistcally (raw numbers), Hill is better though Allen's numbers are boosted by the likes of Lamar, Rice, and SMU (wtf is this OOC schedule?).

Maybe Sumliin knows the defense HAS to get better because it might have to carry the Aggies for a game or three? Dunno if Chavis has all the tools necessary to make that defense legit, especially if it has to stay on the field longer.

Your thinking is wrong. A&M is a program with resources I'm not saying you are Southern Miss. Yet Bama, LSU, UGA, UF, and Tennessee have bigger pockets. Arkansas is just slightly below A&M. In the SEC you DO NOT have an advantage in money. Neither and much less in winning tradition nor anything else relevant.. You just don't. This idea you are the loaded kids in the block is false.

Hill started during those OOC games. Allen's numbers are only boosted by ULM.

The only thing that matters is recent history. Otherwise, Princeton and Army should both be world beaters and LSU and Florida are shitty.

History only carries so far. What is happening right now in terms of facilities, staff, recruiting buzz, fund raising. Now. Not 10 or even 5 years ago.

It still doesn't put A&M above and beyond the other SEC programs, but the distinction is very small if any.

A&M...... LSU just cannot find a QB to get them over the hump.
