We have not lost to any team from North Carolina since 1999. That won't be changing this year.

All true. However the anticipated improvement of Hurts from bama fans can also be expected of Francois. Bama has not always looked dominant in the first game of the season. You're replacing multiple starters. New oc. If FSU wins , I'm not expecting a blowout. First game against a good team is when bama would be most vulnerable. Week 5 and bama would win handily imo. Fisher vs Saban will be a good storyline. Looking forward to the matchup.

I anticipate that Hurts will improve as most players (including Francois). Hurts didn't look nearly as good in the 2nd half of the A-day game when the defense was allowed to put pressure on him like FSU undoubtedly will.
Francois losing many of his goto receivers won't help his cause plus them losing their best RB taking the load off a QB. Hurts returns most of his receivers and all of his RBs. Fisher is a great coach and will have the team ready. FSU's team is much better coached and manned than any of the opening season opponents of Bama's recent past.

Still obsessed with the state to the north? ACC remnants! Just kidding around with you. But fill me in on why did SC leave the ACC. Was it the basketball deal, or more ?

ACC playing favorites to the NC schools. Clemson was poised to leave too, but pussed out.

FSU has the kind of qb that gives the bama d fits.

Can you expound on this?

He's black so he's obviously a dual threat, dynamic rushing threat. Duh.

I'm going to go with SC dropping a game to NC St for the first loss

That's rough. With the loss in week two to Mizzou that's a tough luck way to start a season 0-2

I just don't see an SEC loss in these games.

SC v NC St

Florida v Michigan

Notable week 2 games

The irony in the fact that neither you nor OP have sacked up for a prediction in WG's thread is not lost on me.
