He's won games, you dumbass.

That's not exactly easy to do at Mizzou. At least not consistently.

Sit down and STFU.

Fire Pinkel
This dude has never won the big game and never will. It's an absolute joke, he has never even won a conference championship. Do you think that would be acceptable at Bama, Auburn, PSU, etc. Hell look at Auburn they fired a coach who won a national championship and look were they are now. The acceptance of mediocrity at Mizzou is embarrassing, it should be national title or nothing, but these fans are happy with 7 wins and a bowl game. This is what is holding us back. Pinkel will never win us a national title and it's time to find someone who will.

Most competitive teams can relate including Georgia under Richt.

I've been saying to get rid of this dude for a while. He just can't get us over the top. Who cares we went to the SEC title game. We were a win away form the national championship and lost so thats what I'm upset about.

As a school you're not willing to commit, or even capable of getting the commitment of a coach that fulfills your ridiculous expectations. Imagine Saban was at Mizzou... he would have left a long time ago because you aren't big time. IF you want to act edgy and cool as if you're a Bama fan with Bama fan expectations, you need to become a billionaire and invest millions otherwise go away.

i hate people who say that. To me there is no difference from making a horrible bowl game to not making one at all. the difference between fans like me are horrible fans such as yourself is you will remeber this season as the time we went to the SEC title game, but I'll remember it as absolute heartbreak as we were under 30 minutes away from going to the national championship

That's cool, it doesn't mean the premise that the standards for success are different at different programs, and rightfully so.

Then that's you being an idiot.

No, the difference is you take yourself way too seriously and you want to act superior by falsifying some bravado. How old are you, if you don't mind my asking?

Dude put down the pipe. Y'all just had an amazing year in the toughest conference there is. I say that buys him at least a few more years. Now if he can't parlay this into better recruiting then you may have an arguement. Until then get a grip.

Did he ever explain the 3 man fronts? Was he trying to stop the vaunted AU passing attack?

Its 1/2 alter troll and 1/2 serious meltdown.

Hate to be the one to tell you this -- but there is a reason they are called the "Big 6" -- and it is because they have won every SEC championship since 1963 in football. You literally had 50 years of historical data working against you. You came probably the second-closest in the SECCG era. There's a moral victory to be had in that.

Numbers-wise, it is:
Alabama - 17 titles
Florida - 9 titles
Georgia - 8 titles
Tennessee - 7 titles
LSU - 7 titles
Auburn - 6 titles

But Mizzou beat Bear Bryant once upon a time, so they are actually college football's last remaining power to never win anything. I can see why he has the expectations of a blue blood.

When I'm 80, I hope this thread has "A&M - 1 title" on it. I'll be able to die happy.

My GUESS is that he wanted better flow. Set your linebackers back, hold up at the line, let the LBs and secondary flow over to stop the various outside and option runs. Don't let a break through the line result in a huge gainer. Something along the lines of a good LSU defense (not a Bama style); counter the run with speed.

Obviously didn't work.
