I recall him denouncing his OSU fandom

Also recall him rooting for OSU prob a year or 2 ago, because I thought it was so ridiculous that someone could have 2 favorite teams that are both top 10 programs.

Pretty hilarious and fitting IMO

I don't have much issue with that if said person grew up in Ohio and went to school at Alabama. There are kids from all over at Alabama. The majority of students are from out-of-state. It's inevitable that some grew up fans of other schools.

Since when is Finebaum "you people"?

I love how people assume this jackwad is a bama fan..... he is a shite stirrer grad from UT. If it weren't for the callers he would be working at the Knoxville newspaper. Just think that bama and auburn fans take the bait way to much

1. Bama has a great OC now
2. Peyton is still playing
3. Has a former NFL MVP ever gone into coaching (Brett Favre's high school volunteer work aside)?

If any of them do, it will be Peyton. You can't understand anything he says so being an analyst is out of the question. Plus, I think he would make a pretty good OC.

Just don't see how being a great former player automatically will make you a great coach.

OK, I acknowledge you're correct. Todd Helton started the season, but I guess he got hurt before Florida. I couldn't find a box score, but the program lists Manning as the starter.

That would be tougher than Bama hiring Kiffin for me. I really don't like Peyton Manning.

We're trying to win championships. Why would we want Manning?

I didn't say it was just because he's a great player. If that were the case, you'd have to believe that every coach in the league would have to be a former great in order to succeed, which is absurd.

"Assume this jackwad is a bama fan"? A direct quote, Oct. this past season: "the 3 NC that Alabama won were the 3 greatest days of my life". This past Mon he spent close to all of his 4 hr show talking about Kiffen leaving bama, and then picked back up on it the next day. Wed: "Nick Saban is no longer the most hated coach in the SEC. He's now a highly respected elder statesman for the league". "Alabama will once again have the #1 recruiting class in the country". "Nick Saban is handsdown the best college football coach in the country." "I once used to get upset when people called me biased towards Alabama. Now I just let it roll off my back & know that that is their problem, not mine". etc etc. What I object the most to is his using the SECN aa a recruiting board for Saban & Alabama.

Not only this, but the idea great players don't always make great coaches really may apply here. Great coaches motivate their players to play at a high level. I imagine Peyton would be a complete dick even moreso than Saban. Saban would have already put in 15-16 years of coaching at Peyton's age. Coaches have to develop their trade just like anybody learning a trade. Peyton will be starting that at the ripe young age of 40.

Fbaum is an Alabama fan, went to UT for financial reasons. He has said so on more than one occassion. He grew up a Bama fan in Memphis.

Why would Manning go to BAMA?

I still haven't seen proof that finebaum said this. And even if he did I doubt he was serious.
