"The entertainment business or basic math"? The fact that his show is nothing more than a Jerry Springer like sports show bothers me not one bit. That he finally admitted last wk, either in a slip of the tongue or just Paul being Paul smart arse-like, that his callers are staged.."I have never told someone what to say. I have had conversations off the air, however". What I cann't stand about him is his use of the SECN to pimp saban and bama & he does not even care that everyone knows it. He is a recruiter for saban & bama using SEC league money & tv rights.

You know just not to take everything he says seriously. All the staged callers are very reminiscent of Jerry Springer, I have no interest in that at all.

America would be a better place if the paul finebaum show went away forever

But CHF just walked away from $12+ million dollars because he felt bad about OM getting in trouble.

That should be the end of it. Rebel sources have spot-on so far

Everyone has been saying this for weeks now. They need to drop the shite already and get it over with. I'm tired of waiting!

I would never listen to Paul on Xs and Os or the finer points of the game, but when it comes to the "politics" and "intrigue" of the College Game, there's no one better. He has all the sources and knows where all the bodies are buried.

He's been doing this for a very long time.

I don't know the last time he broke a story or revealed inside info with detail. He makes innuendo and hedges his bets. He rides one wave to the next. That's all he does.

When Finebaum actually goes to his real fore as a objective reporter/investigator and interviewer, he is very good. I'll be the first to grant him that. But when it comes to Alabama and his man love for Saban....it's more than a little creepy

He's not as cutthroat as he was. You're right. ESPN made him soft.

If there is a hot topic Pawl will fill up his show with reporters and other media guests. He practically begs them to break some news or make some controversy on his show, then he can either take credit for it or deride the guest for ultimately being wrong. His act really has gotten stale

50-75% of PF callers are reading a script on a pre-planned phone call. Consider yourself lucky that you never listened enough to know this

This. He has made his career coming out after a story breaks and saying he knew about it but couldn't talk about it at the time. What a ridiculous tool.

That's being a little generous. I doubt 50% of the regular callers can read.

ICYMI: @finebaum implies that something yet to be reported was the cause of Hugh Freeze's firing.

They have an Infractions committee hearing next month. While it isn't supposed to matter, a further tarnished image of Freeze won't help their case at all. They will (rightly) do whatever they can to keep a lid on any more bad news until after that hearing.
