I like McElwain for the same reason, and I think he's a good coach, but evidently he isn't a great recruiter.
Stoops would be hell at UF. Better, perhaps, than at OU.

Him and Spurrier have beach condos next to each other down the road.
Not just the first choice but our ONLY choice. Foley put all his eggs in one basket thinking Stoops would come back after only being at OU for 3 seasons. That's how we ended up with the Zooker.
I think we had a decent shot at him at the end of the 09 season. He had a lot of heat after going 7-5 despite starting out top 3. Meyer "unretiring" killed that though.

He's working on that. He did a great job closing in 2015 and this year (2016 was no doubt disappointing). It was looking ugly but we finished top 10.
It's put up or shut up time for the offense this year though. I'm not a fan of bringing in yet another grad transfer but who knows, maybe it'll work out and give Franks another year of experience (and another year for Trask after his awful spring game).

Talk about adding insult to injury; couldn't beat Florida in the national championship game. So I guess join them. Oh how it would annoy him to see the crystal ball he could have had.

What is your point? He has been the Gators coach for 2 years. He has won the SEC East the last 2 years. When was the last time lsu won the west? I'll remind you, it was the year that you got your arse kicked in NO by Bama 21-0 and barely crossed the 50 yd line ONCE. Then your fan's proceed to pass out in Krystal and get a dick and nut sack dragged across their face. Talk about embarassment. You swamp rats should just STFU until you win something again. And men's golf in 2009 is not good enough.

As to why I bring up Finebaum it's because despite the hatred some have for him, he actually is probably the best source for legit info in the media universe pertaining to SEC football. He or one of his guests will often bring up very interesting topics, and thus I will relay the info here. Note I never bring up any of his literal lunatic type shtick callers, i.e. Tammy, Jim, Phyllis, etc. Some of you here become absolutely paranoid simply by seeing his name in print; massive over the top knee jerk reaction. If I'm going to bring up a topic that has an outside source I will rightfully and always state who the source is, whether Finebaum, ESPN, or whomever.

I love to hate on McElwain, but he is doing a great job so far. If he ever gets a QB worth a damn watch out.
