What saban said after the game was that alot of the passes were actually run calls with an option to pass if LSU showed a certain look. You guys were showing the look, we just were not completing the passes. LSU fans are talkign about their big drops, we had as many or more drops that had nothing to do with the defense. Cooper himself dropped at least half a dozen, a couple that would likely have been tds, and blake just plain missed some wide open guys. Everything we wanted was there in the passing game and we didnt take advantage till the end. I think if we had gone to the run game early and often instead of all those incompletions we would have been comfortable ahead the entire game.

Bama fans, I was shocked to see the offense you guys ran last night. What do you guys think about it?

I don't like going for the home run one out of what seemed like every five plays. I like establishing the run, which we apparently abandoned early.

The only call I questioned all night was the completion to jones on 3&10.

This was a catch. I questioned the touchback call which went in our favor. All of the alleged pass interference calls? Meh. Could have been called offensive pass interference on several occasions, and that applies to no calls for both sides. I am okay with that; if both players are jostling each other, a no call is fine.

LF hits the line as hard as anyone. He is a special player.

Thanks for being a decent poster.

I think both teams are far removed from 2011. That game was not sloppy (obviously the one in BD, not 1/9 lol) but both defenses were that good. The tension was insane in that stadium...still the best game I have ever been to live and LSU has given me quite a few so that's saying something.

I felt like this game was just as much on the offenses for not executing as it was on the defenses for being that good. Not that they aren't, but just 2011 was a whole other level. Bama's d that year was the best I have ever witnessed and LSU's would be a close second.

It's frustrating that we've been on the losing end the last two close games, but last night our biggest mistake was as a team, we played not to lose. We didn't play to win. And you just can't do that vs Alabama. There's a reason people hate us so much...bc we've both been that good (obviously bama has been better, this is not a troll). You can't beat good teams doing that.

There were about 5 specific things we did last night, that if we don't do 1 of them, we win the game.

The play of the game for me was when White didn't field that punt that ended up being what a 68 yarder all the way down to our 8. Our d held you guys and our ST allowed you to flip the field.

I respect you guys and you fought hard and enjoy the win, but as a fan, I feel like my team lost it...I don't think you guys beat us. And I'm ok with that bc my team is young and this will be a great learning experience.

I think that the issues we have had on offense this year all boil down to the fact that this offensive line just isn't as good as what we have become used to. I doubt that any one of the five could have started for us between 2009 and 2012. Commentators always used to talk about yards after contact with Ingram, Richardson, and Lacy. You don't hear that any more. We used to be a team that could run the ball down people's throats. Not so much this year. I don't think the philosophy has changed so much as the personnel aren't what they were.

Sims hasn't played well on the road all year, and other defenses jam our receivers and pressure him and run blitz at the same time, until Sims learns to read defenses we will struggle away from home.

Yeldon has been banged up all year and Drake is out for the year.

Three offensive linemen are banged up also.

Life in the SEC.
