should be a competitive game with tenn having a good chance to win.

bama's strength of team is that defensive front 7. they are really bringing the pressure. all those turnovers are due to the front 7. not knocking the secondary because they are aware, making the plays and taking turnovers to the house. some of those scores are lucky with the bounces. nevertheless they are taking advantage.

the offense - not the typical bama offense. o line is not bad, but it's not dominant like it was. bama fans have to be heartened by the running game vs ark, esp the first quarter. teams have been getting pressure on hurts. he has a lot of poise, good athlete, but certainly he's not a great passer at this point in his career. I don't know how they got receivers so wide open for pass and catch as often as they do.

bottom line, though, it takes a very talented team to challenge bama.

Tennessee, what can you say? big question is will they have enough bodies? the injury bug is killing them. nonetheless next man up has been playing hard. I don't know how their offense chugs along but they are getting it done. dobbs is not a great passer either but is a great team leader and athlete. getting great play from the wr spot and running back as well.

looking forward to a great game. i'll be rooting for the volunteers. Good Ole rocky top! Go vols!

I actually think our offensive line has become pretty damned good.

I say this is Lane Kittens best offense so far because they have tons of weapons but no super star to focus on

In 14 it was Cooper

In 15 it was Henry

This year they have a Stud QB, 2 good ERs, a good TE, and a Stable of backs

Not that much though. He's been pressured 27 total times in 6 games with an average of 71.5 offensive plays per game.
The OL even cut down on the penalties some.

with good playcalling bama has kept out of obvious passing downs. they do this all the time. when they do get into those situations, I notice more pressure than normal.

not saying bama is getting beat all the time, you understand. not up to bama standards.

Tennessee has no chance. Bama will beat them by 2 touchdowns at least.

One thing that has me somewhat optimistic is Tennessee has the playmakers that can really hurt Alabama in space if they get too aggressive. I think Debord did a really good job of recognizing when A&M was bringing the house and called the correct plays to burn them.

I think Tennessee can put up yards and points on Bama if they execute and HOLD ON TO THE frickING FOOTBALL

If TN can hold on to the football, or at least teach Dobbs to fall on it, then it'll be a game. Not saying they'll win necessarily but it'll be a game.

If TN takes care of the football as they did last week, things could get ugly. I was really hoping Arky would rough Bama up a bit. Give them a physical game like Arkansas prides itself on. Oh well.

Geaux Vols!

We won't have to blitz to pressure Dobbs. 4 is plenty.

I'm looking forward to the game this weekend, but you know, the SEC needs to look into doing away with the permanent cross-division rivals. It's not fair that Bama has to face a top-notch team like Tennessee every season when a team like LSU gets an easy W by playing Florida.

Does anybody have Mr. Sankey's e-mail address because I'd like to alert him to the unfairness of this situation.
