Cutler era? I wish. I believe this is the first time we have finished ranked in the Coaches' Poll. First time for the AP since 1948.

Highest ever finish for USC. Don't know whether to be excited or cry .
But no, I'm excited. Anybody can have a bad century and we gotta start somewhere.

SC is not the same team without Lattimore.

Not true, but whatever.

It's tough to use the head to head strategy like that since so many of the top-10 teams have beaten each other. My problem with FSU is that they have two losses with an incredibly easy schedule.

Murray State 69-3 W
Savannah State 55-0 W
Wake Forest 52-0 W
Clemson 49-37 W
@USF 30-17 W
@NC State 16-17 L
Boston College 51-7 W
@Miami 33-20 W
@Virginia Tech 28-22 W
@Maryland 41-14 W
Florida 37-26 L
NIU 31-10 W

I agree we had a very easy schedule. The NC State game pisses me off. I'm still angry from 1998. You see teams blow games they should win all the time. The loss to Florida was worse than the NC State loss to me. I knew it was coming. I'm a fan of FSU not delusions.

What it really comes down to is the Big 12 top tier vs. the ACC top teir. The Big 12 is overrated year in, year out. Despite Sagarin's rankings, this is a bad down year for the Big 12. It really comes down to who's going to be there if we aren't?

Edit: In terms of resumes, who else? Oklahoma? Didn't beat a ranked team other than Texas. Kansas State, beat Texas and Oklahoma. Both OU and Kansas State suffered complete beat downs in their bowl games. Our resume is as good as the non-SEC contenders. LSU gets really hurt by a bowl loss to Clemson.
