So UK gets a day off tomorrow and plays the winner of LSU vs Ark/MSU?

Yes.

Why can't you look at the bracket yourself? Learn baseball, yankee

Not mad. Kinda enjoying all of this. Masochism at it's finest.

Good. Let us play an extra game. Didn't want our guys getting spoiled.

Extra RPI opportunities for 2 of 7 teams playing for the final two host spots...(Arkansas, State, Arizona, Fullerton, Virginia, Kentucky, Miami). Of course, UK win did us no favors. Source: LINK

Dude, UK will host before State...NCAA wants to have Northern regional spots.

Ole Miss has a better chance of missing a regional than MSU does of hosting one.

Plus UK has 40+ wins and is ranked ahead in the polls. No way State hosts instead of UK unless they win the tournament. Then I'm sure it would be a possibility.

I am starting to understand why Ole Miss fans are so fond of their bourbon.

Why do you think we're so cheerful and not bitter when football comes around?

Lost 5 in a row, scored only 5 runs in last 38 innings.

A few key losses and I am sure I will be drinking heavily this season, too.

We tend to surface a little more often in the Big 3 sports, so mine never turns to full-blown alcoholism.

Plus, if everything goes to hell, we at least have the safety valve of going "back to the Big 12 where we belong" with WVU, et al.

Keep telling yourself this. I wasn't posting my opinion, but what was published by one of the most respected college baseball websites.

Our former AD is on the selection committee. Ask LSU if this has mattered in regards to us in the past...

Also, if you think the NCAA prefers this:

to this:

Well, I have nothing else for you...

That said, you have the better resume at this point and deserve to host over both us and ARKY. I'm not arguing that fact. It could change in this tournament though.

In the case of a toss-up between us 3, you don't have a 33% chance. More like a 20% chance, with us/arky sharing the other 80%.

UK will be adding nearly 1,000 seats if we host so...

Down Doggie.

UK will add seats for the regioal (6,500-7,000) total and it was a comment from the head of the committee that stated that baseball needed more Northern sites for host for travel accommodations of teams and more exposure(Templeton). Also Leg Humper, UK has hosted a regional back in 2006 with success having over 6,000 in attendance for sessions...so, it can and will be done again.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but the folks for UKAA have been planning for a regional host for a couple of weeks.

You will see a Gary, IN and Lexington host site.

So, up to 4000 capacity?

Don't get me wrong, as of today, you deserve to host above both of us. But if it comes down to a toss-up with either or both of us, your chances diminish greatly...

Mike says up to 6,000 and he definitely is more in the know than me.

Nope, will be adding seats down the 3rd base line and behind LF fence line.

And no, if it was down to UK and State, State does not win out. Templeton has made it clear that Northern Host Sites is a must and needed. Also, Kendall Rogers has reported this issue in the past that the baseball tourney committee wants northern teams to host if they are deserving.

Lulz, yet Costal hosted a regional at their home field. Purdue will have the regional at Gary due to the lack of lights in thier home park.
