UF and Stanford always in a battle to determine the best athletic program in the nation. I can understand that an LSU fan would get confused about that.

LSU kust made the national semifinals in softball, is currently #3 at the NCAA championships in men's golf, #2 overall seed in baseball, and both track teams are top 8. LSU should move up dramatically, or the point system is fricked up

They have moved up but they were near ground zero to start so no real hope of winning. Probably will make the Top 10 in Cap One, but so far behind in Directors Cup to really challenge Stanford. You need about 400 to 500 per season and LSU had less than 100 for the fall and just under 300 for the winter. They should break 500 for the spring which is excellent, but not near enough to really move the total.

Right now Stanford is pushing 1500 and the next closest school is UCLA about 300 points behind. Usually it is a battle for who gets #2 as the gap is so great between #1 and #2.
