Yep. All that work for a down vote.

You Hogs need to get over the fact that without that ridiculous 4th and 25, you would have had a 6-6 season. Fat Bert won't have another one of those no matter how long he coaches.

Exactly. Should add teams who get a ridiculous amount of gift turnovers to win games as well.

Here were the F/+ rankings after the final week of the regular season. Since almost everyone won their bowl in convincing fashion, I don't expect the rankings to change much after bowl season:

Alabama (1)
Ole Miss (7)
LSU (11)
Arkansas (15)
Tennessee (19)
Florida (20)
Mississippi State (23)
Georgia (36)
Texas A&M (37)
Auburn (49)
Missouri (78)
Vanderbilt (83)
South Carolina (88)
Kentucky (92)

I expect Florida to switch places with State in the final ranking. A&M might switch places with Auburn, although it's unlikely given the gap.

Incidentally, this does support the "SEC is down" narrative, particularly the SEC east. SECe had four teams below the national average in terms of quality (#69).

Also, last year 6 of the 7 SECw teams finished in the top 25 in the F/+ rankings, 5 in the top 13.

Oh goodness, what would I have done with that 40 seconds I would've saved?!?!

Don't be mad I'm belittling the best season for the Vols in 10 years. You didn't accomplish anything, it's okay bud. Maybe if Phil comes back one day.

ETA: forgot you're a Tennessee fan, let me help you:

belittling - to make (someone or something) seem less important

Omgeeezzzzzz not a DOWN VOTE!!!!!

If that's a lot of work for you slugs I feel bad for you.

Then again it was from a UT fan and a B12 Hunger Striker. They wouldn't know work if it hit them in the mouth.

This is pretty good IMO. We won on a fluke against Ole Miss. Ark/Tenn is a toss-up. No way LSU is better than Arkansas, Ole Miss or Tenn

Obviously. Can you clue us in on what basis exactly was used? These polls are ridiculous, except for the bad teams trying to feel good about themselves.

Sure did, and we won our bowl game in equally convincing fashion against about an equal opponent, who was playing a home game in their own state.

I would say Yes, we are that bad right now.

Still had a successful season, but we have maybe the worst offense of any power 6 conference team right now. Or we're at least in the discussion

Tennessee and State would have been a good game this year. Arky and LSU need to drop IMO

Decent rebuilding year for State. 9-4 it's becoming average. 9-4 in the west is like 11-2 in the east lol

I wish UF had represented the East better, but be honest -- if you put up UF against any of the teams above them on that list except Missouri, how confident would you be that they'd pull out a win? Their offense isn't just terrible, it's so awful that it's dragging their defense down. I wouldn't bet more than a dollar on UF against any SEC team right now, and wouldn't even waste that much on most SEC teams.

They had a great season considering expectations, and they did manage to pull out some gritty wins even with Treon (they were respectable enough in the SECCG) but does anyone have real confidence that a winning UF team would show up on a given game day if games were still being played?
