We've had some bad weather the last couple of years...that's the main reason.
Possibly. I have found parking to be getting more difficult with the increase in development in that general area. It used to be the arse-end of town, and now there are apartments and housing and retail popping up around the park, taking away some of the free parking that used to exist. The new-ish indoor baseball center took up some parking as well.
I arrived an hour before the first game of the regional and it was Lot 56 only.
The U needs to buy up some of that real estate and bulldoze it. They can start with the little industrial building just north of the stadium.

I wonder who # 6 was that ruined our top 7 streak?
Kudos to Bama also...

Nebraska.
They play at a pretty nice minor league park. However they only played 23 games there so less supply likely drives up some demand. They can get up to 8,700 there.

Seriously, that's pretty damn impressive.
Not really. Actual attendance is half that ussually

TCU was 11th @ 4,786. Their park isn't big to stay high. Too much SRO/grass seating.

Actual attendance for everybody is obviously much lower but I think the NCAA uses paid attendance as the barometer to make comparisons easier. Plus the ticket money is in the University coffers.
For years State reported both paid and actual but after the NCAA changed their protocol on it, we just report paid attendance now.
Northern schools are at an obvious disadvantage here and Arky, Mizzou and U.K. in the SEC are subject to some brutal weather in Feb/Mar.
Kudos to Arky for their attendance considering the weather they can have early in the season.

Our attendance will be terrible next year because they'll be in the middle of a renovation. Most of the grandstand will be closed off I'm pretty sure.

quote:We will play fewer games there. Probably most of OOC on the road. There will be 1,200 fewer chairbacks available next season. Where you fall in the priority will determine whether or not you get your chairback ticket next season. You can go to Gene's Page (not the premium) and they have like a 6 or 7 series on there that describes what is available when and how they plan to stage it.

We're going to put them on tracks so we can move them out only when our opponents bat like we did when LSU was here.
I love how belle responds to disses on your stadium like this ^ but when you ask a legit question she dodges it.
Like, for instance, why does Kentucky's lineup consist of 6 lefties and 1 or 2 switch hitters? hmm pretty damn coincidental that your entire lineup is left handed and it's <300 ft down the right field line. I'm sure that doesn't give you a huge competitive advantage on your home field.
It's ok we beat that arse on a real field 10 time out of 10

Why would you not build your team to fit your park?

Ummm I gotta agree with farmer here. Why wouldn't you build your team to fit your stadium?

Seriously what's the source for this data? I've looked all in the inner webs for this information and it's hard to locate.

I'm not saying you shouldn't, but don't expect us to not make fun of the little leaguish park

And don't expect us to call you out for using it as an excuse for why you didn't win a series there. It is incredibly funny that the only fanbase I see actively crying over it are LSU fans though.

We've beat you at the Box fairly recently.

Lsu baseball is like the green packers. No matter how great or shitty the team is it will always be 100 % paid attendance. The waiting list for LSU baseball season tickets is wayyyyyy longer way harder harder to get than football bc the turnover is minimal
