What are you thinking? It is the Fight Hunger Bowl, more like 20,000 people with be booing.

Has a woman ever officiated a NFL game, or a NHL match?

One of the NFL replacement officials was a woman. She actually officiated regular season games.

just another lawsuit if they dont put them out there. maybe they'll get ran over or something. the woman that did the bowl game a year or two ago messed up a couple times on easy stuff. y'all do realize they're gonna dumb the game down until women play.

As long as they are competent referees I don't see the problem here.

They are working 2 of the most difficult positions and it's not their first rodeo....they'll do fine.

What they gonna do when they need to rip a pile apart when guys are scrapping for a fumble though?

DO they have enough fat to throw their weight around?

Nah they throw their Zebra stripes and flags around the same way the male refs do. Other than that former UK Linebacker Ref who took down SC's Garcia with a perfect block (and it honestly looked more like he did on purpose rather than because Garcia was running at him) those old men aren't taking any group of football players down OR separating them because of anything physical. Even a young in shape ref isn't using his body against guys fully clad in pads and helmet to get a pile to break up.

Those players respond to the stripes the same way we respond to Firefighters, EMTs, and uniformed police rushing somewhere and telling us to stop what we're doing and get out of the way. People don't sit there and size up how short and fat Officer Doughnut is and then decide how to respond - they respond to his uni and badge.

If they call penalties correctly, I'm fine with it. Might be a job they do better than men.

So now lsu fans can add gender to their complaints about officiating.

i couldn't care any less about their gender, just how good they are at the job.

After the officiating we've been subjected to this year (Vandy game), there is no chance they can be any worse.

Leggings without a huge arse shirt hanging over the butt.
Depends on if they are hot.
And if they do a good job, who cares?

Well I'd get excited, but like most women yearning to work in a male-dominated field, they probably play for the other team.

Oh well. DAT arse.

Thanks, I remember that now. I watched that game. She actually did a pretty good job if I remember correctly.

Can't be easy for them, breaking said gender barrier, but my problem with it all is that there has to be boundaries ... I was never for them being combat troops because they simply cannot stand-up to the physical rigors of combat and in doing so they risk their buddies' lives.

There has to be boundaries. Men and women are not the same.

ESPNU sometimes has female announcers for crap football games and it really sounds awkward.
