Damn florida doesn’t get the bold on the defense part. Lol

Bold is only where national top 10/5 are shown to clearly show SEC teams. They're in with just the SEC teams in the middle.

Hey there SoGgy bottom boy- I coulda sworn I’ve heard repeated rhetoric that FL’s defense sucks. Has it all been a lie??? If so, I did not need to know this yet, let me live in my bubble.

Because they've only played 2 or 3 games each.

Still a little screwy at that point.

I’ve already forgotten what this thread is even about.

Eta: you don’t seem soggy at all, I just felt like being silly as you may have guessed

I wish we had Miss State to improve our defensive ranking :(.

Well Vandy is coming up so we can inflate with them I'm sure.

It's opponent-adjusted so beating up on State or Vanderbilt doesn't help much.

It is hard to put a lot of value in national rankings where the conferences aren't playing each other. Is earning a yard of offense in the SEC the same as earning one in the Pac12? If MS State played some out of conference teams would they look better, etc?

Absolutely agree. I think in reality you can only truly compare within conferences.

Against Missouri and UGA, the DL played very well. It simply cannot be overstated how much the return of Kyree Campbell has meant to our run defense and pass rush.

Linebackers have played okay all year, next year is when our upgraded recruiting at the position should begin to make itself known.

Secondary has been arse all year. Minus Elam, the best players are just athletes that get roasted by good route runners, the worst players are bums that don't belong at a P5 school. Open field tackling has gotten better over the course of the season, approach angles are still pretty bad.

You just played Georgia, no need to get greedy, you still have Tennessee and Kentucky, two more offenses that qualify to park in the handicap lane. My guess is by the time the SECCG comes around you Gators will be under all kinds of delusions about your defense.
