Gentle Ben, Hank from Prairie Grove et al are enough to give one brain damage if listened to daily. I always wonder what kind of jackass has time or desire to call in to EVERY show every single day.

Fresh Legs calls in a bit and Forest City Joe too. Jimmy Lee cracks me up, he really takes the cake, if you can understand what the hell he says.

Then there is Genie Lamp who calls into the show in the a.m. He likes to get the Joe Bobs all riled up. Hilarious.

I don't hate Arkansas. I just don't understand some of the talk I hear sometimes.

But you hear that same shite from fans at all schools. Do you really think it is unique to Arkansas?

I just think the talk on sports radio is strange for the lack of success that Arkansas has had recently.

Second highest income per household behind Nashville in the SEC. Much better downtown, better tailgating, better everything.

Sorry it's not surrounded by cowpastures.

Apparently you've never been to Tuscaloosa. What cowpastures are you talking about? I guess if you drive far enough aways from any city you'll find them, but that's the South.

I also live in Bentonville and while I LOVED my time in BR would have to say that Fayetteville is a better college town as for the other two .. would say Tuscaloosa is better than Athens ... NWA is just a different place that you have to see to understand

This.

As much as I enjoyed living in a bigger city in my early 20s, NWA is tough to leave at this point. Its just a good place and thats hard to describe to people who haven't spent time here. I really like living here. There's stuff to do, but its also very liveable. Its easy, optimistic, friendly, laid back, and everything you want in a place to live and put down roots. I love Fayetteville, and our little metro. Wish it would stop growing, though.

NWA has more of a midwestern feel than a southern feel.

I consider a college town to be very small and relatively empty out when school is out of session. Do these cities fit that criteria?

I see Auburn, Oxford, and Starkville as definite college towns. Auburn has definitely gotten bigger over the recent years.
