Eh, I don't really have any OOC teams that I say "oh I want to watch them play this week". More like I want to watch the highly ranked teams and big time matchups.

Liked them until the Sandusky/Paterno, Liked OB. I used to like Franklin, but he can EAD now.

I grew up liking PSU and their tradition. I went there and I found their fans annoying and off-putting. Mainly because they loved their school and program as blindly as I loved mine and I got in lots of arguments. It was more fun to watch PSU struggle and shite talk them and there are a good many in state college after my stay that only watch Georgia to make sure they lose.

Then the Joe Pa shite happened and I saw a lot of my buddies have to deal with a semester from hell and I saw the outside world shite all over the fans and players of a program that was mismanaged by a select few. They didn't do anything wrong. The obsession with Joe Pa is ridiculous but other than that I generally feel for them because of all the shitheads who wanna shite on a great university.

Then I really liked O'Brien and the fun of watching PSU fail had faded so I rooted for them again. Then O'Brien left and talked about how fricking nutty the PSU fans had been and apparently they are all still OMG Joe Pa so that made me reconsider rooting for them. Then they hired that frick head Franklin so I am right back to hoping for failure.

Fitz is the man, just too bad they couldn't get it done last year as a top 20 team.

Hated that too. Fitz is one of if not my favorite coach in college football. Dude is great. I also saw a game at NW (vs PSU) and really enjoyed it. I hope they can get their shite straight because last year was rough with that losing streak.

That's why I love Penn State so much... how well the school embraces themselves and how much they love it. Alabama feels like a football team more than a school. I never felt the connection to Alabama that a lot of people do, and I have some spite held against the racism, homophobia, and shite like that that goes on there. I do understand how it would be difficult to embrace one school and then be in a school like Penn State.

You get it. I grew up a Dawg, loved Georgia, and knew I'd always be a Georgia fan but I wanted to go to a different school and try a new life out. Loved the campus and even tried to make PSU a #2 or co #1 team I rooted for. But you basically nailed by saying PSU isn't a place you can do that. The way I feel about Georgia is how they feel about PSU. I refuse to believe there is a school that has more pride and love for their town and university than PSU. They drive me nuts but I respect their loyalty. shite, no SEC student body comes close to being as good a student section or as loyal to their school as them. That's what made the games so great.

But PSU can lick Georgia's sack and I have said this many times.

I'll still watch and root for OU, even though the Sugar Bowl still hurts me. I also like to watch and root for USC and tOSU.

This might make a lot of people angry, but I like seeing Clemson do well.

Throw PSU and ND in there and you may have nailed all the schools that SEC fans hate most

University of Houston since I did my grad work there, but they aren't a real football team. Of the major NCAA programs it would be Michigan State, NC State, and Colorado (though you can make a claim that it is no longer a major program).

Stanford- love watching great defense and/or great offense. My team is already by far the most superior offensively (if anyone disagrees, I probably won't be coming back to this thread to respond), Stanford is the counterpart with a great defense that has nothing to do with tamu. I also like Ball State because my Dad grew up in Indiana

I pull for the schools with higher academic standards (Stanford, Michigan, etc.). I think it's good for college sports.
