I would bet they don't go down full speed. I've wondered that myself.

Of course but they still jog down that thing, which is downhill. Not saying I think its really dangerous. Just surprised that after the thousands of players that have run down it, none have gotten hurt.

The players go down the hill a hell of a lot faster than you think. I'd break my neck if I ran it anywhere near that speed. There's a little drop halfway down that a lot of players jump off and look crazy. After games, it's covered with kids riding cardboard sleds down it. Part of that "rushing the field" stuff everyone likes to make fun of.

Not necessarily a tradition per se, but the Vol Navy is hard to beat when it comes to tail gating. Just hard to see that working out for LSU fans, as with as much drinking goes on outside TS, hard not to worry bout too many falling off all those boats into the river. Re Ralpie, was at the LSU/Buffs game years ago & his handlers were leading him through this huge beer garden set up outside a Hilton adjacent to the stadium, several thousands of fans of both teams partying, and he broke free. As he approached one of the main keg areas, 4 LSU fans jumped in front of the keg to protect it. As their girlfriends scrambled away.

Met the owner of StubHub at a LSU/Bama game tail gate several yrs ago & he said he spends every weekend traveling around the country attending college football games. This came up & he emphatically said " the 2 Arizona schools have the best looking girls, no contest". FWIW.

My favorite game tradition is contemplating the massive river of shite and piss that must be flowing outward from a stadium full of humans, many who are drinking alcohol and gorging themselves on fried foods.

That inevitably leads me to remember that cities themselves are massive "waste disposal" complexes carrying the nauseating effluent of disgusting human beings under our feet, away to some hellscape where other humans work at refining it before returning the liquid back into our ecosystem.

Life is gross. Football stadiums are gross. Humans are disgusting and football is just a brief distraction from the hoplessness of human existence.

fake smoke

I figured "fake smoke" was the standard. Maybe I will contact the AD and see if we can try and light fire to some wet leaves to get the "real smoke" feel.

This would be nice. Flip the script and make the opposing team run through actual fire and smoke to get onto the field.

Savage my shite up fam.
