I agree, and the Tigers should vote to stay at home . What happened to use last year due to the machinations of the SEC office was intolerable.

Technically Cap 1 picks 2nd. But since we've had a team in the title game for the last 6 years, they get the 3rd pick since the Sugar ends up getting the 2nd pick as a replacement pick.

If Vandy beats Wake, Miss. State beats Ole Miss and Tech beats UGA, why wouldn't an 8-4 Vandy team that has sold out its bowl ticket allotment in each of its 3 bowls in the last 5 years go to the Gator Bowl over 7-5 Ole Miss and 7-5, Murray-less Georgia?

Football cultural inertia? Everyone refuses to believe that Vandy can meet its allotment. Our home game attendance hurts our efforts to fight that idea.

Because they're Vanderbilt.

Take solace, with the Independence Bowl out there you can at least travel out of the state, or zip code as is the case with Music City Bowl.

Plus there is still a chance at a Vady-Duke Peach Bowl, which I'm sure has the Chik-fil-A bowl reps biting their fingernails off. LOL.
