Smelter wouldn't start over any of our WRs. Mitchell, Bennett, Conley are all better than him.
I disagree, that kid can play. I would find somewhere to stick him in the starting lineup.

This might be true, but all they do is cut block so it's hard to tell
As long as it's legal... I know they have Thomas O-Reilly starting at center, IIRC. He signed with Auburn out of high-school but later transferred for playing time. He's a goody looking son of a bitch, and I'll acknowledge that I don't know how good he is at this point.

He's only played one year of college football, and basically only has ever run a few types of routes. He'd be a fish out of water in the sort of scenario being described.

He puts up numbers because GT's #1 WR always puts up numbers.

I know it's legal. I'm just saying it's tough to tell how well they are drive blocking and in pass pro

He didn't stand out, and our center (Andrews) is actually pretty good.

OFFENSE
Quarterback: Tough...Bo Wallace for the experience alone, but I'm not 100%. A solid full season of starts by Dak may prove his worth to me.
Running Back: I'Tavius Mathers
Wide Receiver: Laquon Treadwell
Wide Receiver: Quincy Adeboyejo
Wide Receiver: Jameon Lewis
Tight End: Evan Engram
Left Tackle: Laremy Tunsil
Left Guard: Aaron Morris
Center: Dillon Day
Right Guard: I dunno...With Gabe Jackson gone who does State have now? We don't really have another no-brainer pick to go here.
Right Tackle: Austin Golson

DEFENSE
Defensive End: CJ Johnson
Defensive Tackle: Chris Jones
Defensive Tackles: Robert Nkemdiche
Defensive End: Fadol Brown...or if State has some beastly DE that I don't know about get them.
Outside Linebacker: Cody Prewitt
Middle Linebacker: Benardrick McKinney
Outside Linebacker: Serdarius Bryant
Cornerback: Derrick Jones
Safety: Kendrick Market
Safety: Tony Conner
Cornerback: Senquez Golson

SPECIAL TEAMS
Punt Returner: Jameon Lewis
Kick Returner: Jaylen Walton/Jameon Lewis
Punter: Will Gleeson
Kicker: Gary Wunderlich

Moved an All-American Safety, Cody Prewitt, to OLB because I think that's his position at the next level. Replaced him with Market, who I think is a solid Safety.

I'll admit, I only really know the stars from MSU. Chris Jones, McKinney and Lewis are obvious takes. They're ballers. Dillon Day is a great center with experience.

This could describe DeMaryius Thomas, you know? Before he left Georgie Tech...

Agreed.

Yea, I wasn't saying he was better than Georgia's starter, just that I was familiar with him because of his ties to Auburn.

Smelter is only comparable to DeMaryius Thomas in the fact that he plays WR for GT. Thomas was an elite athlete with great ball skills who created mismatch problems for any opponent. Smelter isn't that guy. He's a solid player but doesn't scare anyone.

Example though, UGA secondary struggled mightily all year but held Smelter to 1 catch for 12 yards.

That would be a sick defensive line.

What year is Isaac Gross in?

Junior. He's fantastic, but Robert Nkemdiche and Chris Jones would HAVE to be on the field. Their size/speed ratio is outlandish.

I'm still holding out hope that Gross can at LEAST get up to 285 and maintain his quick titch speed. If he can, it's gonna get ugly for any center across the line from him.

that's weird, why did he get moved? Not sure I would change the position of an All-American..

He didn't actually get moved. I moved him based on potential.
