Would you protest the hire? Probably not. He's a good football coach

Terrible logic.

Do you see any fans begging for Art Briles? He is an excellent coach.

We also did not protest Dooley and Lyle when they were hired, who were terrible coaches.

How about Petrino?

Right or wrong, when did it become wrong to stand up something. Noles fans wanted Bowden out. Guess what, you got him out. NFL players kneel in protest. Fans respond by not showing up and cancelling cable in protest. Stop being a hypocrite.

Petrino is a piece of shite too but that would be comparing apples to oranges.

No way Tennessee will hire him tho imo

True, but you have to admit he's a nationally recognized offensive genius, which would immediately propel UT back to the spotlight.

Not sure Kiffin or Martin would have that effect.

You didn't know if they were terrible coaches or not. Plus, your program wasn't the dumpster fire it is today, so you had some optimism left.

However, you threw a bitch fit to get them canned just like you did yesterday with Schiano to prevent the hiring.

At this point I think it is time we roll the dice on an up and comer. Petrino has hit his ceiling imo.

It's wrong when it becomes a witch hunt. Every vols fan got caught up in how shitty of a hire it was football-wise that they went along with saying Schiano was a pedophile to prevent the contract from being signed

the sad part is they would probably cover up any molestation "Grumors" if they had the opportunity to sign him and he had the same allegations against his name

I agree but I just don't see how Tennessee can trot him out after yesterday.

Kiffin would be ideal but I doubt most of the decision makers would swallow their pride with that one.

Tee is the one that would get the fanbase back together completely. Young, ace recruiter, players love him, face of a national championship team, and a reminder of the good old days of Tennessee football. Give him a solid support staff with Fulmer helping in the background and let's roll.

Schiano has a better football resume than both.

Dooley created a similar dumpster fire. The roster was in worse shape when Lyle took over than it is now imo.

This is stupid. Go read some threads on the rant and get educated before spewing nonsense.

This is so fricking stupid. Seriously anyone that thinks that what happened yesterday was about Gruden is completely wrong.

Yep. Zero chance Kiffin or Petrino would be hired.

Tee is a great fit. Biggest risk factor is lack of HC experience. But with top flight assistant, shadow and support staff, and Fulmer there to help during the learning curve of the CEO aspects of the job, that risk seems to be significantly reduced.

Agreed. TT9 has also been a solid Bama poster lately and was defending VOLS not hiring Schiano yesterday
