Actually, it's designated as a minor-planet or "dwarf planet". Dabo, in the strictest sense, is still correct. Not to mention that the justification of it being a non-planet is shaky at best, as the qualifications given by the IAU could easily discount Earth, Mars, Jupiter and Neptune as planets.
Also, if Pluto happened to be in New Mexico skies at that time, the state passed a resolution that it would be planet while in their skies. Illinois also passed a resolution that it's a planet.
Regardless, he missed a perfect opportunity. Better ways would have been, "I'm from Mars and he's from Venus - full of hot air." Or "I'm from Mars and he's from Uranus." Or "I'm from Mars and he's from Jupiter - the only place big enough to fit his ego."

I think skrayper is one those Bama fans that wants Dabo to be the next Bama coach.

I ain't even mad though, I just found the IAU article you're probably referring to.

A dwarf planet is not a planet. If it were, there would be 13 planets in our solar system.

So... we only have thirteen head coaches in the SEC by that measure... right?

He would be a disaster at Bama.
It would be about as bad as you hiring Terry Bowden to be your next coach.

Well the OP's quote didn't include the "from different planets" part
Did Dabo actually say they were from "different planets" or is that some journalists take on what Dabo said?
quote:
“He’s from Pluto and I’m from Mars,” Swinney joked. “We’re different,” Swinney said. “I mean we’re different ages and all that stuff, the way we handle things and run our programs. But we’re similar too. Similar in our values. I have respect for him as a husband, as a father and the job he’s done is amazing. The thing I like is he is who he is and I don’t think he’s gonna change anytime soon.”

Spurrier just trying to win that offseason title
Cause God forbid he'll never win one at SCAR.

There's a contingent of Bama fans that want Dabo (who went to Bama) coaching Bama when Saban leaves. He's in over his head at Clemson. He would be a disaster at Bama.
While I agree I don't want him to coach at Bama, how is he over his head at Clemson?
