Fallout

I enjoyed the win, I did. It would be stupid if A&M fans didn't.

We came into this conference appreciative of the invite, gracious and accepting of our current place. Many of us certainly wanted to be accepted, to be SEC. Our fan base, passion, loyalty, tradition, and culture indicated we'd be a fit. We didn't expect to be where we are right now, this season. We hoped that the money A&M and Mizzou brought to this conference would make up for our record until we got our feet under us.

We're not accustomed to conference pride, and it's a concept we've had to get used to. It's been difficult in ways. The win was big for us if we follow it up with wins in our next two games. If we don't, it's all for naught. But here we are, and yes there's still a legit chance for it to happen, but here we are now as a conference on the outside looking in to not having another NC. It's not fully in the conference's control. I'm irritated by it because I feel like we've screwed it up for "us", the SEC. Go ahead and say it, I know you want to. "We had a good thing and you guys come in here and jizz it all up."

This isn't a troll, and I know we've got to be school first, conference second, but just sucks in that one weird way. Surely it's not normal to feel bad in that sense, is it?
