So the "greatest coach ever" lost to an inferior team despite having 9 draft picks in the first 80 picks?

Maybe yall can call him the "greatest recruiter ever" instead.

Bryant is still the greatest coach ever because he has six national championships to Saban's five.

That's not what the internet said.

Bear is a drop in the bucket compared to Saban. Bear coached in a no holds barred era, he would get destroyed by Saban straight up.

Nick is the best in modern day college football. Even the best can lose every now and then.. You know that. You're just trolling.

And so did his contemporaries. He was just better. And he's probably the only coach out there who could successfully compete in every era. The man adapted to the changing times on a dime and made it look easy.

Other schools did not allocate resources like they do today. Alabama certainly did that, and that's a large part of why they were so successful. You put him against Saban in the modern era and he get destroyed.

Saban is the best ever, and that's where the debate ends.

In the NC game though? How many Clemson players were drafted in the first 80? I can understand if we are talking about losing to some irrelevant Ole Miss team in the middle of the season. But in the NC game, the players and coaches are supposed to be at their best. I'm fine with calling Saban the best in modern day football but he has left some championships on the table.

You got one for why Clemson beat the frick out of Bama or were they just a better team that was better coached?

Your NFL-lite team got beat by a 0-star white wide receiver that was working the dip cone station at Dairy Queen a few weeks earlier.

That's embarrassing...
Yet that embarrassing team shut you out in your house. Is there a word for embarrassed by an embarrassment?

Obviously they were the better team that night.

ETA: They hardly "beat the frick" out of Bama. They won on a last second play.

Getting the frick beat out of you means you most likely didn't score.

But LSU has no coach, no QB and lack of talent.

It was expected

It's amazing that LSU will use their coach as an excuse for a loss but will just ignore the OC turnover 1 week before the national title game.

I don't believe that was the reason for the loss. As I posted earlier, Clemson was the better team that night. Anything can happen in football.

But I do find it hypocritical that you will use that coach excuse but ignore the oc turnover.

Troll on.

You wag the weenie to Nick Saban?

Yeah, you know, I'm OK with not winning a national title in football if it would have meant a generation of Arkansans would have spanked the sperm puppy to Bobby Petrino or... God help us all... Bert.
