This what is what college football is all about, in Tuscaloosa. Major props to Aub and Aggies coaches scheduling Oregon and Clemson, two top programs, some coaches like Saban fear facing such teams in the regular season. Aub and Aggie coaches do not!

LSU clearly benefited from playing a strong schedule, it may hurt BamaPosted on 10/28/18 at 10:39 am

LSU clearly benefitted from a strong schedule, LSU has been tested in a variety of ways, which led to learning their weaknesses as a team and staff and improving in these areas by adjusting plays and personell.

Alabama’s players were never tested, imagine all this time of being clueless on how your team will perform under stress, Alabama is really clueless as to where it needs to improve, where it’s stress points are, but will find out quickly Saturday.

Alabama’s like an untested sail ship heading into rough seas for the first time, while the LSU ship’s crew have been sailing in rough seas for weeks. Bama’s ship just might sink under the stress.

Alabama’s ship reminds us of the Titanic, unsinkable, yet there she lays at the bottom.

Alabama’s stats are inflated due to a cupcake schedule.

Alabama’s soft schedule vs LSU’s tough schedule, that’s LSU’s advantage

If you were comparing this to the Duke game, you might have a point. Everyone has games like New Mexico St on their schedule.

ETA: Texas A&M had Texas State last week. L8U had Georgia Southern last week. Auburn has Tulane this week.

Not the typical Bama defense, not the typical LSU offensePosted on 10/29/18 at 6:49 pm

Everyone is consumed by the matchup of Alabama’s offense vs LSU’s defense. But it’s the other matchup that may be the deciding factor.

Alabama’s defense is nowhere near as stout as their previous ones, Arkansas scored 30 on them. LSU’s offense is far less predictable as their previous ones. LSU has the offense to play keep away from Alabama’s offense, and Alabama’s defense can do little to stop LSU from running plays. Fact! LSU often has far more offensive snaps than their ranked opponents.

The fewer times Alabama has the ball, the fewer opportunities for Tua to throw TD’s. Tua can’t do it from the sidelines, unless the SEC refs suddenly change the rules and allow it.

SI reporters most intriguing stat of LSU vs AlaPosted on 10/30/18 at 8:13 am
3732

Andy Staples of SI was most intrigued by one stat regarding the LSU vs Ala game. Staples noted that YPP (yards per play) is the best stat to gauge a teams defense.

The best defense Alabama has faced up to now was 90th in YPP. As dominating as Alabama’s offense has been, Staples notes the best defense Bama has faced wasn’t even considered decent, and now it’s going to face a great defense in LSU. Staples noted he found that stat most intriguing, and that he found it on of all places, Finebaum’s show.

Staples noted of all the teams Alabama has faced or will face, LSU represents the greatest hurdle for this Ala team to reach the playoffs. Alabama simply hasn’t played any defense near the caliber of LSU’s.

Shocking, to know that Gumps have been misrepresentibg the true facts about their supposed invincible Alabama team? LSU represents a major test for Alabama, these Tigers from LSU have the best chance of kicking that Alabama #ss.

Didnt bama face fsu like 2 years ago and they were preseason #3? I hate bama, but its gotta be a little tougher on em to find teams that want to take that challenge on in the regular season. They have some teams set up in the future too

Alabama fans are going to be shocked at how well LSU moves the ball against their invincible Tide.

It was pretty similar to last year's Alabama-LSU game. You didn't miss much.

Obviously I missed Dukes' best player being ejected by a bogus call.

Yea, that one could be interesting. Fritz is great, Auburn coming back off that crazy win against Oregon, line under 20.

LSU's best player got ejected in the Alabama game last year?
