Kinda dumb to throw out Mississippi State.

Didn't AU beat MSU by 4 points?
Bama played like shite and won by 13, could have been 20 if
We were dickheads.

Played the worst game of the year against them and still won by 13.

Unfortunately for AU, Bama's worst game of the year came 2 weeks too soon against hapless MSU. Wouldn't count on Bama playing that poorly again this year.

An AU loss will CRUSH them....if they get beat down they will be screaming for Malzahn's head.

Doubt this? Just wait.....

This is a free roll for the Tigers. They're not supposed to beat Alabama, and if they don't, it won't take an ounce of pride away from what they've accomplished this season.

It's amazing what Auburn has accomplished in one short year.

Do Auburn fans really feel this way? Is a 10-1 team really saying they are on a 'free roll'? This seems like something reserved for a 3 loss team.

Yeah, don't agree with the free roll concept. There's always a lot at stake in the IB just from a bragging rights standpoint, and this year's game will decide the West.

What's more amazing is how utterly terrible CheeseDick was as a HC. It's not like you added a freshman class and all the sudden y'all are top 5 again. GC had talent last year and produced probably the worst product I've ever seen at AU. God he was bad.

FULL DISCLOSURE: I haven't stopped shitting my pants since Murray herp derped his final pass of the game, personally. I'll be lucky to make it through the next couple weeks without literally dying of fright. Any time I end up surrounded by wild, feral dogs while wearing my suit made entirely out of cuts of ribeye steak, I think of the upcoming Iron Bowl and realize that the situation I'm in could be so much worse.

That being said, however, the only thing which should be considered anywhere near as frightening as Alabama's prospects in the IB is the extraordinarily remote possibility that Auburn loses the the game. I can foresee threads being bumped and quotes being attributed from the time the game clock reaches 0:00 until kickoff of the NCG.

It would seem to me that, as frightening as it must be to be an Alabama fan right now, an Auburn fan even considering the possibility of a loss must be every bit as bad.

No. Why? Because its the iron bowl, its the SECw, its the SEC Championship, all on the line

if you see the recent SI article, it furthers what we all had heard rumored after the NC with Chiz and staff

This is bullshite and every fan of either school know this is bullshite. So going 10-1, setting up one of the biggest iron bowls in the games history, and losing would not take anything away from the season?
Agreed. If you asked for this before the season, every single Auburn fan would have taken it, but expectations change throughout the season, and now, I think Auburn fans would be a bit disappointed thinking of what could have been especially if it is a close game.

2005 Alabama all over again. Sudden good run, always wonder what could have been if this or that happened.

Exactly. In my opinion, if it existed before, this idea of "playing with house money" / "nothing to lose" went out the window when the clock struck zero in Jordan Hare last Saturday. Stakes just became about as big for Auburn as they are for Alabama. Expectations change.

If Alabama wins the Iron Bowl, will they earn any extra respect?

I doubt it.

Basically confirmation from inside sources that the Championship is what changed Chiz and staff. The staff resented the book he wrote, Chiz resented the lack of credit he got. The staff began to not care about stuff and bottom came off. essentially, the NC was the catalyst for the collapse
