Proud of my program for doing this. Our AD and Paul Johnson have extended an invite to all evacuees to come to Bobby Dodd tomorrow and watch GT football for free.
Please spread the word if you know of any families that have come to Atlanta and would love to watch a free college football game.
Go Jackets!

Sheesh...haven't these people suffered enough?

It's hard to say anything negative about this move, but let's call a spade a spade.
GT is trying to fill up their stadium and earn some feel-good PR points at the same time.

You can go straight to hell.

This. Lots of empty seats at GT games even in their small stadium. Their biggest crowds are when Georgia comes to town. But yea, it's a nice and smart gesture.

Seriously...you guys are the worst. Did UGA sell out their game against App St? Hard to sell out a stadium against Jacksonville State.
I guess I expected cheap shots at our program to be put aside for a seemingly good cause.
I fricking hate UGA and their fans.

AU Zach with the truth.

Aggies are doing the same. Our next two games (Nichols and ULaLa) have a big lot of tickets available for Harvey volunteers.

I can think of about 20 better things to do in Atlanta on a Saturday than watch the triple option.

Sheesh.
Don't get me wrong. It's a nice gesture, and classy move by GT.
I'm just pointing out that if you think this move was driven by pure altruism, you are naive.

1,000,000 people with nothing to do and nowhere to go...and you'll still have a half empty stadium

would rather sit through a hurricane

It is a very nice gesture, but you simply cannot deny that it is a gesture GT would be in no position to make had paying fans bought the seats.

I just spit coffee on my keyboard, thanks Eric. That is some funny shite.

To be fair we just lost a fricking heart-breaker down the road at MBS.
Not like people are going to be super pumped up to come back for an FCS trap game 5 days later (played UT on Monday)
But yes, agree there's definitely opportunism at play.
I'm nothing if not a realist

All kidding aside. I am a fan of Marshall now. I would go if I was going to be in Atlanta just to watch him play.
