Which would still be a top tier LSU poster, comparatively.

The funniest thing about LSU fans is they actually think they are on our minds.

I mean, we see Auburn fans/family/co-workers daily - there is a dislike at times but no hate. We are next door to Tennessee fans and do hate them regularly, much like AU does with Georgia.

We really, really don’t think about LSU outside of egging fans here on about it.

He didn’t transfer to LSU. It is strange to own Florida and LSU in one post.

And he just ignored Bama.....imagine that!

ETN has had flashes of looking great, but as he says, he was basically the #2 back.

Maybe he wasn't given a proper chance, or maybe he never broke away. I think his last name makes people think he should have been handed the starting gig, but he hasn't looked at all like his brother so far.

Hopefully the supporting cast in Georgia helps his stock.

The thing is he had more yards per carry (5.7 compared to 5.4) and more TD's (8 compared to 5) than the guy ahead of him in terms of getting carries. More yards per catch in the receiving game too.

There's a pretty decent argument that he performed better than the starter on the field and that the guy getting #1 touches may have gotten them due to being one of the guys who followed the coach from UL to UF.

Ettiene was also better than Johnson on a per touch basis the prior season too. Wonder if he would have stayed if he had been named the starter due to better production.

This will be happening to every team in the SEC on the reg. Never take it personally. It's all bidness.

Well, the exact same thing won't happen to teams who are in the national title hunt as the players wouldn't be leaving a losing team.

The reality with the transfer portal is good players from teams doing poorly will "transfer up". Guys not playing on good teams will transfer down.

In the end it all helps the better teams. It doesn't spread the talent the way many expected. UGA has had a lot of guys transfer out over the past few year, but only 4-5 of them were really "losses". Most were clearing out guys who weren't playing in order to sign full recruiting classes where UGA otherwise would have had 15 man classes coming in if the non-contributors hadn't transferred out.

Well that certainly is not very nice. You will definitely not be receiving a Christmas card this year.

The difference in YPA is almost negligible and he was used in the red zone a lot more.

As someone who saw them play every week, there wasn't anything to indicate that ETN should be #1 much less a clear #1. He struggles a lot with blocking, too.

I think he'll fare better at Georgia but he just never broke away from Johnson here.

For a RB, .3 yards per attempt is a pretty big difference. The redzone usage would be a reason for a such a difference (being used in situations where a run is expected negatively impacts yards per attempt) but if Johnson was the redzone back and SUCCESSFUL in that role he should have more TD's. He had significantly fewer TD's.

There are a lot of reasons why a back in Ettiennes situation would think he should be the #1 back based on a direct comparison. While you (and coaches) may see other reasons why he shouldn't, it's easy to see why he might want to leave when he has arguably better numbers and the guy with worse performance gets the playing time.

As for blocking, he'll learn to block at UGA or he won't play. That's one thing Kirby doesn't cave on at all.

How is he going to be RB1 at Georgia? Isn't UGA loaded?

UGA's #1 and #2 RB's from last year are both heading to the NFL.

The guy who would be expected to be the next guy up missed all of last season with an injury (Branson Robinson). Behind him was a RB who was injured much of last season with different minor injuries (Roderick Robinson). UGA had two good RB recruits (Frazier and Phillips) but the reality is they had very few actual college carries on the roster as it stood.

UGA needed an experienced back in the portal. They got one good enough that on paper at least he slides into the #1 RB spot. UGA has enough talent on the roster though that if someone else ends up flashing as a great player, Ettienee could end up falling down the depth chart. It's up to him to keep that spot.

We're definitely broken but the ETN transfer doesn't really make the top fifty reasons.

I wish he'd stayed but again, he never really separated while here.

It is pretty hard to ignore all the LSU fans here.

LSU fan starts thread. People reply. LSU fans scream “obsessed!”

As an Auburn fan I would just like to get in the mix with Florida, Georgia, LSU and Bama by saying something about this….

“Something”

That's how it always works.

If you're ragging on an opposing fanbase, you're just trolling.

If an opposing fanbase is ragging on you, they're scared, obsessed, and you're living rent free 24/7.

It's a tale as old as time.

When you have lost every UGA/AU game since 2013 and haven’t won in Athens since 2005 it’s understandable that AU is totally obsessed with UGA.
