I live in Nashville, a melting pot. So obviously there is going to be more divisions than most SEC communities. But how big a difference between Nashville and other communities is there?

Nashville

13% (don’t care), yet Nashville remains top 10 tv market for college football

30% Tennessee
20% Alabama
12% Vanderbilt
6% Kentucky
5%. Ole Miss
5%. Auburn
5% MTSU
4% Other

I have made adjustments from my first post based on feedback and second thoughts. Alabama % elevated, Vandy % reduced.

Washington DC:

Skins

Caps

Nats

Wizards

Random mix of college nearby college teams. Those that get on sports radio include Georgetown, VT, and Maryland.

Significant PSU contingent.

20% UT
10% Arkansas
10% Alabama
5% MSU

10% Other

Tri-Cities TN: 60% UT, 20% Bama, 20% VaTech. Massive, massive influx of Kentucky fans who drive 4 hours to come to the "big city" on Sunday afternoon.

I've seen way more State fans in Nash since I moved here than OM and Kentucky. At least those who display decals and such.

From what I’ve experienced in Northwest Arkansas (college only)

70% Arkansas
15% OU
5% Oklahoma State
5% Mizzou
5% other

Used to live in central Arkansas and I actually think there is a larger percentage of Hog fans there since it’s not close to another state border but there were more LSU fans there.

Gainesville:

90% Gators
5% FSU
2% Miami
1% UCF
1% USF
1% Bama

I do see a lot of Bama plates, magnets, window flags, etc. around town. Certainly bandwagon fans.

The majority of the Bama fans I see remind me of Chicago Cubs fans. Roll Tide is the cool thing to do.
"My cousin went to Bama"
"I lived in Alabama for 3 months"
"I was driving through Tuscaloosa and I bought this shirt at the gas station and thought I would support the team"
They could literally come up with the same excuse and support about 40 different teams, but the Bama fandom sticks.

Conway is closer to NC State than Clemson. A ton more Gamecock fans here.

Fayetteville (NWA)

90% Razorbacks
5% Whorns (usually freshmen from texass - it takes about a year or two to flush the burnt orange virus from their systems)
3% Some kind of mix between oklahoma, okie lite, kansas, kansas state
1% Auburn holdovers who worshiped at the feet of Malzahn during the Shiloh/Springdale years
1% don't care anything about athletics

ADD - the closer you to get to Bentonville the more likely you are going to see out of state plates and stickers of outside programs. They get a ton of move-ins due to the $$$$ being made up here. We have a large number of teachers who move here from Oklahoma and other surrounding states due to the great schools and salaries.
