I have no issue with these except for Alabama. Seems that they are always overvalued in every aspect every year. They are returning one back who was healthy last year and one coming off a major injury. They do not belong in the top 5 until Drake can prove he can be back to full strength.

Think about it guys- Any other team would get knocked for the same situation, but the media darling Bama is not judged by the same rules.

They bumped UGA down a bit because they lost their predator.

Arkansas still has a predator..

Only reason, otherwise its a toss up.

How many threads have UGA fans started about Herschel in teh last year? I'll wait and let you count.

Don't pretend your fanbase doesn't worship Herschel.

We? No. A few T-shirt wearing sidewalkers? Yes. They don't and have never spoken for our entire fanbase.

Enough people did it that it bothered Marshall and Gurley. I'd say that's more than a few sidewalkers

Is Ducre going to stay at RB?

Unclear at this point. We had two scholarship fullbacks last year. One graduated, and one was kicked out of school. So, if Ducre is rostered as an RB, to my knowledge it'll be the first time under Miles that LSU has not had a scholarship FB.

All of that aside, Ducre will certainly see snaps at fullback. A one back offense isn't unfamiliar to Cam. Last year we have had some two back looks with Hilliard and Fournette, no fullback. I like our backfield going into 2015. It's a versatile, talented group.

YOu're right, that comes with being so highly rated. But you have to realize why yall get so much flak about it right?

I'm sure SC fans were falling over themselves about Clowney too, but clowney was dominant and one of the best players (regardless of position) in teh country for basically his entire career. LF (from LSU fans on here) was hyped up just as much, but thus far hasn't been anything other than pretty good as well as one highlight reel TD run.

If LSU fans had just been like "hey this guy could be pretty damn good" nobody would give yall shite. But all the heisman talk, stupid little catchphrases, etc all offseason basically built him up to be superman and he simply isn't.

UGA & Ark are 1a 1b imo. Our backs arent as flashy as Chubb but you cant argue with 2 backs that have had 2 years of 1000+ yards.

I never said we didn't, I said we don't start threads about him on here all the time. Which was the entire point of this discussion if you hadn't noticed. Also, HW proved himself and is unanimously one of the greatest RBs in college football history. LF hasn't proven to be the best RB in his own league.

obsession? hardly

well I mean I just did a quick google search found 3 UGA-fan made threads assuring the SECr that Chubb is better than Fournette. Maybe obsession is the wrong word but I'd be lying if I said you guys didn't care if the SECr thinks Fournette > Chubb in any capacity

LSU fans act like LF is herschel walker, barry sanders, walter payton, bo jackson, and walter payton all bundled into one

Well yea, we had a #3Heismans campaign for Anthony Jennings this year. A lot of the stuff is tongue-and-cheek. Most of the level-headed posters think he has the potential to be great, but he hasn't necessarily made it yet

If yall didn't slobber all over yourselves for an entire year about the dude nobody would care.

You registered on the wrong site if you don't want to see LSU fans slobber all over our players. I'd imagine there's an equal amount of slobbering on DawgRant

Are you seriously trying to say he can't still win 6 heismans?

No arguments here, I was just pointing out its funny to see a fanbase so infatuated with Herschel walker make fun of someone for comparing their RBs to Herschel walker

I'm higher on Arkansas' running backs than most, but I have a really tough time believing that any coach in the nation would take Collins and Williams over Chubb, Michel, and Marshall. It isn't an egregious error though because Arkansas' backs are really freaking good.

why does ESPN hate LSU?

quote:

LSU doesn't belong on the same tier as UGA. That's not being a homer, it's looking at facts.

LSU has their big timer in LF. UGA's starter is better/more proven than LF.

Going to 2nd string, which admittedly I don't know so I'm using the link as a resource, LSU's 2nd string guy is a guy with 300 yards. UGA's 2nd string is a guy that didn't play too much due to injury last year but had 400 yards (6.5/carry).

LSU's 3rd string is a TFr I assume? UGA's 3rd string is a guy that ran for close to 900 yards as a TFr and then has mostly been sidelined the last 2 seasons.

I just don't see any practical way you can put LSU even with UGA.

WG_Dawg Is definitely not obsessed.

If LF manages to put up better numbers than Chubb next year this place is going to be unbearable.

Yeah. Of the 6 scholarship guys we had, 4 are gone.
