He tore his ACL in December and came back because he wasn't going to be a lottery pick.

ETA: He's also working on his Masters. Your comment doesn't make much sense.

he can literally do everything. You would be hard pressed to find another 6'10" guy who can pass like a legit point guard. The McDonalds all american game was fun to watch with him in it. He seems totally unselfish aswell. i anticipate blakeney to be our leading scorer but ben simmons will be what makes this team great.

You will become a fan of LSU basketball after watching Ben Simmons. Kid is unbelievable.

The Fournette syndrome trickle over to BB. Can't wait.

Kid is a legit 5* coming into college, and like the others, will have to prove it vs. good competition.

LSU's OOC schedule is complete arse for this season, so being the go-to guy, he will likely have gaudy numbers. NBA drafts on potential, so he'll be a high draft pick. Good pick up for Tigers, and "fortunate" to have his godfather on LSU's staff.

Such a huge land for A&M. I remember when we were a final school for him and thought we'd pull him. Is just such a matchup problem being 6'7 and able to step out and nail 3's consistently but being athletic enough to drive and score too. I think he could have made a difference for us last year in terms of a tournament run.

He's projected to be a mid 2nd rounder right now but I really think he'll play himself into the first round

Probably wont be as gaudy as you think. We have one of the best back courts in the country with Hornsby, Quarterman & Blakeney. I suspect Simmons to have a line something like:

16-20ppg, 8-10 rpg, 4-6 apg

We have a ton of scoring options on this team.

This is what it will be for me. I will watch more games this season than I have since I was in school just in case I am witnessing greatness.

Speaking of, watching him last night he looks significantly stronger than he was last season. He's really filled out and hasn't lost any of his spring.

God we suck.

We go from being the 2nd best team in the league to totally irrelevant in 6 months. We don't have anyone worthy of washing that lists jock straps. Utterly pathetic on our part.

Such is life as a Hog Fan. Have fun pushing our stuff in next season. Everyone will besides Mizzou.

Yeah and he's started using his length, even though he's thin, to help him box guys out in the air (if that makes sense) in order to rip rebounds. I liked what I saw from him both in that regard as well as his increased willingness to put the ball on the floor for one dribble and a dunk.

81. Devin Robinson - Florida:

As a freshman, Robinson was given long looks as a wing-slash-stretch-4 despite hitting just 26 percent of his 3s. His effectiveness as a scorer inside the arc, however, suggests that at 6-foot-8, he may be simply a power forward.

100. Dorian Finney-Smith - Florida:

In the midst of the Gators' worst season in years, the 6-foot-8 Finney-Smith was a bright spot in 2014-15, nailing 3s and serving as UF's de facto featured scorer.

Odd, DFS is by far UF's best player.
