Man if the SEC loses 6 OOC game right off the bat, the "Downfall" of the conference will be complete after last season's disappointment

We will win against UCLA. You don't start the rollercoaster in a downward direction.

This Alabama team is better than the previous few years? Bama is averaging 1.6 losses per year over the last 7 years (to 2010).

Yes and Bama is also THE ONLY TEAM playing a couple (1.67) of extra games per year against playoff caliber competition for the last three years.

I like USC's chances, but the Wolfpack have been a trendy pick for the talking heads so far this off-season. Fortunately, their picks don't amount to squat, but they're all over NCState as a dark-horse
ACC contender

It seems like they are usually a darkhorse pick in the ACC because they can look so good but then so bad. The hammered Vandy and played Clemson close, but also lost to BC at home and ECU.

I see Auburn beating Clemson with a solid game plan if Gus stays out of his own head.

FSU v Bama will be a great battle that comes down to game prep. Bama has to get all of their coaching on the same page and have a QB set.

I see about half the OOC losses going the other way.

Me too. I don't think Clemson will be able to stop Auburn's ground game opening up the play action pass over the top.

i predict LSU's first loss will be to Mississippi State University... leading to Orgeron's firing in year 1 and beginning talks of Mullen leaving to coach LSU.

I'll admit their front 4 is not something that you would expect from NCST. Hopefully Wolford will have the guys ready.

What reason would you think L6U could beat UA?
Bama could lose any game they play but nothing in the past would indicate that L6U will win.
12-0 is a reasonable number.

Well Clemson and Ohio St too...

But you won't get any argument from me. Bama is on top and Sabans defense is the reason why. He went to the title game with a QB that could barely complete a forward pass.

Since the FPI only gives them a 9.1% probability of going undefeated, this statement is bogus.

On paper it appears that way, especially on offense. Defense may well have some growing pains, lot of talent but no returning bell-cow leaders and thin depth relatively speaking.

Says a fan of the team that has lost 3 straight to Clemson, and a fan whose team is on the road against a team that is projected to have one of the best defenses in the country.
