OK for our OL and DL weighted folks here it is.

OL and DL got x2 and QB x1.5 and rest 1.

SO FAR

1 - Auburn - 78.5
2 - Tennessee - 75.5
3 - Bama - 73.5
4 - Georgia - 71
5 - LSU - 66.5
6 - Ark - 65
7 - A&M - 64
8 - Miss St - 62
9 - Missouri - 58
10 - Ole Miss - 53.5
11 - Florida - 46
12 - South Carolina - 38
13 - Kentucky - 27.5
14 - Vandy - 8.5

Because when I posted them straight up last night everyone bitched that it was not valid because I valued OL and QB the same as RB.

TN was #1 with Auburn without any weights as well.

IT hasn't changed anything much.

My version:

I weighted the offense roughly by NFL salaries of starters.

QB(1)- 23%
RB/FB(1)- 11%
WR/TE(4)- 28%
OL(5)- 38%

OFFENSE

#1 Auburn
#2 Texas A&M
#3 Georgia
#4 Arkansas
#5 LSU
#6 Tennessee
#7 Miss State
#8 Alabama
#9 Missouri
#10 Ole Miss
#11 S Carolina
#12 Florida
#13 Kentucky
#14 Vanderbilt

I also ranked the schools usin CBS' 2016-2018 NFL projection. HERE (Tennessee is ranked 3rd here)

You're wasting your time doing this here. No matter how you do it, someone will bitch about it not being fair. It seems some in here have a problem grasping what "so far" means.

I'm sure it is impossible to some that Tennessee is actually talented again.

Cool, nice work and interesting thought to use NFL salaries.

Not sure many here will think WR should be weighted higher than QB though.

Easy. There are 2-4 WRs and 0-2 TEs on the field at one time. Only 1 QB. QB is given the highest weight per player, WRs are higher simply because there are more of them.

Also, if a QB only has one good WR, teams will double that guy and man-up on everyone else. WR depth contributes to a QB's production.

Hmmm this is a really good thought as well.

Cool, thanks for doing that, will you update it as ESPN does the rest of their rankings?

Have a great job, a lovely wife, a beautiful young daughter, live in the most beautiful city in the world, golf 3 or 4 days a week, hit the beach once a week, fish a few times a month and go out to the best restaurant and bar scene in America frequently.

I'm good.

That logic sounds really good to me. Dobbs could absolutely make a bad OL look good, with his elusiveness in the same way that Ramsey could make our OL look below average if they hold onto the ball too long.

Print the t-shirts. It's a done deal. Congrats on the Championship. Hope we can do better in '16.

How can we be this high? The rantards say we lost evvvverything. I also thought Ole Miss was loaded, but they only have one experienced returning LB?

The biggest flaw in this ranking is you are assuming the dropoff from first to last ranking is the same across the board at every position. I sincerely doubt that is the case, and on the field that will make a huge difference.
