Travis Haney names Joshua Dobbs MVP of the Alpharetta kick, punt, and pass competition. Bobby Baker, age nine, has also impressed.

He outshined some notable college QB's as well. He has the potential to be very good. He's not Peyton but we may never see another Peyton.

That probably goes without saying.

Sadly, Bray had a chance to be another Peyton at least in terms of physical talent (not mental talent) but he had Dooley who let him get away with whatever the hell he wanted and a whole helluva lot of immaturity. I still wonder how Bray would've turned out under another coach. Maybe he'll put it together and be a decent backup/journeyman but at this point I think he's too far behind the 8-ball. Then again, Simms is still in the NFL so who knows.

Probably would have been dismissed by any other coach.

After reading yet another article on how Dooley behaved and treated players, I'm not so sure that's the case. Most of them won't own up to it publicly but it's pretty much said his players hated him so badly they simply did not want to play for him and tbh, we saw that in countless games.

I was thinking about posting some excerpts from "The Oral History of Derek Dooley" at some point.

But Tennessee fans are ruining this board enough already

It's a good article and tRant likes trainwrecks. Dooley = trainwreck. So maybe?

When I first saw that vid, I laughed so hard it brought tears to my eyes. Hell I still get a kick out of it when I come across it. Dat song! Probably the best fan meme we had during a dark dark time.

But damn Bray needs to go ahead and retire so we can have a "Best That Never Was" documentary on him.
