The two best QB's in the country (pro style and dual threat) are in Oregon this year. Most people in SEC country have no idea the quality of play outside the conference.

Mariota may put up good numbers, but he's overrated. Ball placement would hurt him against a team with decent DBs. A team with good LBs and Safeties that are disciplined would laugh at him too. Won't matter though, he's gonna win the Heisman cuz he beat up on the Pac-!2.

I think that's a misconception. Don't get me wrong there's a lot of SEC AWESUM peeps but I think more people recognize that good football isn't concentrated to just our conference.

It's really not a misconception. Probably 20% of any fanbase is a college football fan and thinks of things other than their own team. This could hold true for any part of the country, but many SEC fans have bought into the whole "teamSEC" thing.

Yeah, a guy with zero interceptions at mid season is overrated.

He's probably the most improved QB from last year. His completion pctg is down, but his ball placement and decision making has improved greatly. he's also doing this without elite WR's.

I think it's higher than you're illustrating.

I'd imagine any conference would have fans develop that mentality if their top teams were winning championships at a clip the SEC has. But, it is very annoying.

His stats are good, but people think he's a legit NFL prospect? They're setting him up to fail. He isn't near good enough of a passer to play in the NFL at a high level, but everyone acts like he's a top 5 pick. I don't wanna see them set this kid up to fail so they can shite on him in three years.
