Yeah Georgia's AD really needs to campaign to have that fixed somehow. The problem is it would take one or two SEC teams giving up a home game one season OR UGA doing so to get the schedule in order to where you don't have all your good games at home in one year and then nothing the next.

That's ridiculous. Notre Dame is garbage. Their only tough game is Auburn.
FPI would say a schedule with teams 40-52 would be harder than a schedule against 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 112-117. Why SOS isn't always as great an indicator as people want to make it (although it is as good as you can do maybe)
Which would a team like UGA have a harder time going 12-0 or 13-0 against? I know which one I would pick

The problem started when UGA had to play @AU twice in row due to expansion. It hurt AU too because they lost their split of having at least one of UGA or UA at home every year. Now they have both away every other year.

They lost to some pretty pitiful teams last year and finished like fourth in the East. Tough for Alabama, maybe, but tough for them? A lot of the East this year.
Also, even Georgia's schedule is overrated, just like they are every year. Jeesus.
