He's had his big scoring games (43 on N. Florida, 36 on Vandy, 28 on UF) and score whenever he puts his mind to it but he's just not that kind of player. He wants to get other involved too, and I really dont have an issue with that being we have some really really talented/good players surrounding him. The biggest disappointment in this team is the lack of quality coaching...but also we should be shooting way way better from 3 than 32.4%. This team has too many shooters not performing, especially with all the open looks they get because everyone trying to clog the lane for Ben.

What makes the run more amazing SMU has played games with only 6 guys dressed (Las Vegas Final) and they have had to do it with guys quitting who played minutes.

Sometimes I think the Managers just dress out for the fun of it.

I know I will catch hell from fellow LSU fans, Dunn is the best player in the NCAA this year. He is just amazing, the things he does for his team,

The AA team should be

Dunn
Hield
Simmons
Trimble
Valentine

I don't want to turn this into another of the hundred Jones' debates but I really would love to see what he would do under a great coach.

Lunardi usually gets the tournament field right, but outside of the 1s, he gets the seeds wrong.

If Simmons was coached by Kruger or Brown, he would be scary scary scary good.

Simmons wouldnt be any different, he is exactly who is and playing like he should.

It's everyone else doing the little things and team chemistry at times that is very lacking.

Johnny Jones putting us in zone against teams who shoot 45% from 3 never helps. Nor does letting guys jack up terrible terrible shots and never correct it.

That would definitely improve his numbers from assists alone. I don't think he would be a better player under another coach but would be put into better situations.

If we shot 45% from 3 like Arkansas Simmons would probably have 7 assists a game instead of 5.

Patterson, Blakeney & Sampson all need to step it up big time from behind the arc. None of them are shooting it well.

4 of the 5 are easy ones.

This team would be much better if John Brady was the coach. Not even kidding. He brought passion and energy and his teams played defense.

Brady was at best a mediocre coach. He ran the program into the ground by the end of his tenure when all the recruits ran dry on him from his assistants.

Just because he might be a nose hair better than Jones doesnt mean I even want to think about him coaching LSU again.

Brady won 2 SEC titles and would have won a third in 2009 if they let him stay on.

Just saying.

Brady > Jones

Not saying I want Brady coaching LSU again either. I don't want either coaching LSU.

I would rather have Brady over Brown or Jones.

Bobby Knight quote about Dale Brown tells me all I need to know about what people who I respect, thought of his ability.

How does LSU blow a 12 point lead with 12 minutes left

OR

How do you blow a 31 point halftime lead

The committee will give LSU a break because one they have Ben Simmons and two those early ugly losses were without 2 starters. The committee will look at how they have played since then.

If LSU goes 1 and done in the SECT it may get sketchy. Especially if they do not get a first round bye and have to play Thursday night.

Yeah, he had some LOADED teams due to what his assistants recruited for him. But he was a very mediocre coach. We havent had a good basketball coach in a long long time. Which is sad because a lot of talent does come through this program. Have had 9 draft picks the last 11 years. Will add another after this season. Plenty of really good college only type talents too.
