You're not really that naïve are you?

I know if the FEDS want to find something on you, they will. They want their money. Ask Barry Bonds what the FEDS are capable of.

I have never lived in Georgia, but I have always been told by Auburn people who have lived there that most Georgia fans are just bammers without the national championships to brag about. It is amazing how much almost every Georgia poster I have ever come across on the internet has lived up to that description

Auburn might or might not be Alabama's littler brother, but they still own Georgia. Of course that is really not saying much. Even Georgia Tech has won a national championship more recently than Georgia. That really is hilarious

In what way do you "own" us?

Auburn winning a bcs national championship (their second undefeated season in six years), coming within seconds of winning a second bcs and potentially on their way to a third, all in a five year span has nothing to do with Gurley ruining hundreds of thousands of lives with his actions.

So back on topic, if Gurley decides he's done with cfb and won't try to come back can a sports agent go ahead and give him money now?

Yes, which is what he should do if this causes him to miss more than one game (which it will).

These things happen every year. Media loves drama, but this is nothing new. NCAA should consider having the schools take control of autograph process. Star players could sign stuff for the school and receive up to 1000 dollars a month in royalties after deducting the cost of a scholarship. After eligibility ends and a diploma is obtained(yes, earn degree) then the player would receive whatever the customary royalty is for autographed merchandise. If these guys were musicians, they would get royalties for their music.

Something needs to be done. But Gurley would probably be the top money maker in CFB today especially as the probable Heisman winner. But would his royalties exceed $30K/yr* scholarship?

I still think the simplest answer in favor of the players is ending CFB as we know it. Maybe let the NFL rent out the college stadiums for their farm leagues.

We'd all be sidewalk fans.

So it's a win for sidewalk fans and players, not so much for the University other than rent.
