Everyone is giving Auburn the 2010 National Title (as am I.....) as they are clearly superior to Oregon. BUT noone talks about IF auburn were to lose, blow their only chance in our lifetime for a title, ruin the SEC's streak.....I mean Auburn how would you feel....if after this season....you lost? no flame attempt as after last year i am curious to how other fans perceive the title game. Especially teams who arent used to it.
Same ? for legit Duck fans if any are here

If bama would have lost to texas i would have been humiliated

at the end of the day, its just a football game. would i be disappointed, yes, but i would also be happy we finally made it there. oregon is gonna put up points on our D, idk why everyone thinks we are going to kill them.

i can't even bring myself to humor the idea that auburn will lose this. i'd rather set myself up to believe it can't happen, that way i'll be freaked out happy if it does.

for the night, yeah. but we still would have a heisman and an sec championship, not a bad consolation prize. nobody thought auburn would even be in the SECCG, much less the NCG. its all icing on top from here to me

Cause Oregon hasn't been tested (played one team that's currently ranked, Pac 10 only has three bowl teams) and when they last got on the big stage at the Rose Bowl last year Ohio St molested them.

bullshite! ok ok.. it's like this.. auburn is not poised to be in this position for a while. we all know it. bama in 2008, even though we lost to UF in the SECCG, it was awesome to even be super relevant again, because we knew it was only the beginning to our success.

this year, it's all or nothing. hence "all in." i mean, if i were an auburn fan... i'd literally be going insane from the tension. y'all are 60 minutes of football away from the most relevant win in auburn history (in my opinion).

it would be an epic meltdown.

we do not play well vs a speed back. clemsons little man run through us. jeff scott ran through us...its something we struggle with. also the quick passes. we like to play 8-10 yds off, and that aint gonna fly in this game. again, oregon will score some points on us. its up to our offense to be able to outscore them, which i dont think is that big of a stretch to imagine.

oh i am. im nervous as shite, but still, im not gonna get pissed at a football game more than a night. smoke and drink my pains away for the night, get up in the morning, and go on with my life. again, yes ill be disappointed, but im not gonna meltdown

eta: im not saying others wont meltdown though , and i might even the night of depending if a ref blows it for us or something

I am not going to lie.. I would be crushed.. The team and coaches have worked so hard this year and honestly I am surprised they have held it together so well. I want this so bad for them.

As an Oregon alumnus, I definitely think we can win. Auburn has proven that they are not invincible. They struggled at times to:

-MS. State (17-14)
-Clemson (27-24 OT)
-South Carolina (35-27)
-Kentucky (37-34)
-LSU (24-17)
-Alabama (28-27)

That being said, Oregon has had it's fair share of struggles too. Every football team pretty much needs a little luck to win a title now.

Now, I would say that Clemson and Kentucky are good/average teams. The rest would be considered really good to great teams. But still, they have proven that they can be beaten. Auburn has shown apparent signs of weakness on defense. And I fully expect Chip Kelly and the Oregon offense to exploit those weaknesses. As far as I know, I don't think the Auburn defense has seen anything remotely close to the Oregon offense in play calling and in speed. And by speed, I mean our no-huddle/10 second snap offense. I think we can "slow down Cam and the Auburn offense", but we cannot stop them. No chance in hell. Nobody can stop them. However, I think we can outscore them. This is not a flame Auburn fans, but I do think Chip Kelly is head and shoulders a better coach than Gene Chizik and he will plan accordingly. Chizik is smart and surrounds himself with great coaches and pays his....cough cough assistants well. Pretty much everyone and their brother is picking against us and rightfully so. The SEC Conference and BCS National Championship game record speaks for itself. I'm just saying, stranger things have happened....

GO DUCKS!

HERE COMES THE....

BOOM!
