I could just listen to my dad watching the tv and tell how the game was going. Real time saver.

Same here. Thanksgiving sucks arse. Having to spend time around family you don't really care to be around. The Egg Bowl always gave me the excuse not to have to talk to them.

I thought it was good for tv watching on thanksgiving. Seemed like it would be on after the Texas/A&M game. NFL games were over by then too.

me too. Half my mom's family would go to the game and we wouldn't drive 3 hours for half the family at thanksgiving, we would just see them around xmas.
