He is still crippled for life. He was basically the highest profile employee for an athletic department raking in $90 million per year and suffered 2 catastrophic injuries. He was not compensated fairly for the work he provided to and the exposure he brought to the university. He was not compensated by the university or their worker's compensation insurer for his injuries. He had to purchase his own insurance policy and the amount of that policy didn't even cover the value of his rookie contract - a contract that was already severely diminished by where he was selected in the draft due to the injuries that he sustained as a college athlete.

No its not. The NCAA should just let the athletes profit from their name. Let them sign marketing deals, sign autographs, have jobs, etc.

Universities don't have to pay them any extra.
