What I saw is people saying he would go higher in the draft if he stayed another year. I find it hard to believe anyone disagrees with that assessment.

Either all of of Saints RBs have been garbage since they had similar ypc or the saints Oline has been garbage at run blocking. pick your poison or sound like a moron, you're choice.

Pierre Thomas has a career 4.6 YPC
Chris Ivory averaged 5.1 YPC with the Saints
Darren Sproles 8.3 YPC with the Saints
Even Reggie Bush managed to average 4.0 YPC in New Orleans

Running backs can succeed in Payton's system. They don't get high volume rush yards because of the the pass-heavy philosophy, and Payton prefers to uses RB-by-committee. Ingram's just a bad fit because he's not a good receiver like Sproles, Thomas and Bush are.

I don't hate Ingram, I just hate that we used a first-round pick on him when we have gotten much better value out of low-rounds picks and UDFA (like Thomas and Ivory).

Right, just pointing out that Reggie (who was not a good runner while he was in New Orleans) managed to average 4.0 here

Yeah this hasn't helped for sure.

Like I said, I don't hate him. I just hated the pick from the get-go. Last year he showed marked improvement in limited time, he came up HUGE in the playoff game at Philly. If he comes out this year and average 4.5-5 while staying healthy I'll be happy to eat crow on here.

Yea that's fair enough.
